I happened to be in touch with a parent of one of my GCSE students from a few years ago. I was so happy to hear this: "My daughter still refers to you as her favourite tutor ever and she had quite a few during the IB." Thank you very much for that and I hope she continues to succeed now she is at university.

It is so rewarding to hear what a positive effect tutoring has on my students. These are some comments from parents this year on the impact it has had. GCSE Edexcel Higher students, June 2023:
Here is a predicted paper 2H for revision. My thanks to 1st Class Maths for compiling this so quickly. Questions have been set based on analysis of all past papers plus what has already come up in paper 1H. There are no guarantees these are the topics that will come up, but it is useful for revision purposes.

Here is a summary of some of my exam tips for students who are about to take their GCSE maths.

I had some lovely feedback after the exam results this year. Here are some of the messages I received. Well done to all of my students - you excelled yourselves - and thank you to their parents for your support and kind words.

With the first maths GCSE paper behind us here is the predicted paper for Edexcel 2H this year.

For any students taking their GCSE maths with Edexcel this year, here is a predicted higher paper 1H for the non-calculator paper which is based on the Advance Information.

Which calculator do you need for GCSE maths?
For Higher students I recommend the Casio Classwiz fx-991EX calculator. Useful features include solving simultaneous equations, factorising quadratics and solving quadratic inequalities. It is also suitable for students who might go on to study A Level maths.
For Foundation students I recommend the Casio fx-85GTX calculator. Useful features include working out a table of values and prime factorisation.
I advise having a calculator with a solar panel (just in case the battery runs out at the wrong time!).
Either, or both, calculators are admissible in all iGCSE/GCSE maths exams.

Edexcel have published the advance information for GCSE Maths this Summer. This link provides the list of topics - by paper - that will be examined. This will be very useful in focussing revision for each exam.
