DAY OF ARAFAH — Tuesday (9th Dhul Hijjah)
Takbeer begins from Fajr on Tuesday after every Fard Salah and continues until Asr on Saturday(13th Dhul Hijjah).
الله أكبر الله أكبر، لا إله إلا الله، و الله أكبر، الله أكبر، ولله الحمد
Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. There is no deity besides Allah & Allah is the greatest. Allah is the Greatest & all praise are for Allah only.
Fast if possible on Day of A’rafah..
Spend plenty of time in Zikr and Duas.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of Arafah.”
— Sahih Muslim
And regarding the fast of Arafah:
“It expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year.”
— Sahih Muslim
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“There is no day on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari

Cutting Hair and Nails Before Qurbani
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“When the ten days (of Dhul Hijjah) begin, and one of you intends to offer a sacrifice, let him not remove anything from his hair or nails until he has offered the sacrifice.”
Reported in Sahih Muslim.
This applies from the start of the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah until the Qurbani is completed.
Most scholars say:
* It is recommended or strongly encouraged not to cut hair and nails.
* If someone does cut them, the Qurbani is still valid; they should simply seek forgiveness and avoid repeating it.

🌙✨ Eid at Sevenoaks Masjid ✨🌙
Alhamdulillah, this Eid was truly special at Sevenoaks Masjid. We were overwhelmed by the incredible turnout, with a large number of musallin attending both Eid & Jumu’ah Salah. It was beautiful to witness the unity and روح of our community on such a blessed day.
We were especially delighted to see a significant increase in our sisters’ attendance this year — a heartwarming sign of a growing and engaged community. 🤍
Continuing our beloved tradition, mithai was distributed to the adults 🍬 and sweets to all the children 🍭 — spreading smiles and joy all around! Our volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes, even helping prepare our Imām before the Eid khuṭbah — a unique and special moment that truly reflects the spirit of teamwork and خدمت in our masjid. Be sure to check out the amazing pictures capturing these moments! 📸
May Allah accept from us all and keep our community united and thriving.Ameen
