College of Chivalry

It is with heavy hearts that we write this post to say that due to a combination of different reasons and commitments that we have made the hard decision to shut down the College of Chivalry.

We survived covid, members numbers fluctuating, but sadly we cannot continue to provide the great level of engagement that we would normally aspire to.

Many of our members will be continuing to persue their love of reenactment in new ventures and we wish them well.

The event Battle For Black Cat Bridge will continue as this is an aside from the College so we look forward to seeing many of our friends there.

Fight the good fight. Take your blows. Remember the marshals word is final and we shall see you in the beer tent.

Pete is on duty tomorrow.
As is tradition our site shall fall silent at 11 O'clock as part of the national rememberance and memorial.
We request all patrons, no matter their personal views or perspectives to respect the silence and stop all activities for the 2 minutes.

The memorial will be signalled with the sounding of the whistle and air rifle claxon and it will sound again to end it.

Great session today with our friends from Cotteswold Mounted Archers fun in the woods. Badges and prizes.

This weekend we will join our friends from Cotteswold Mounted Archers to do some ground competitions. Earn some medals, qualify for some badges, but most importantly keep up our practice for the BCB archery comp.

The college is having a great time at the Robin Hood Festival this Bank Holiday weekend! Why not come and find us down at the Major Oak in Visit Sherwood Forest! Dont worry, we don't blow our own trump all the time!

The sun's out and we're literally having a blast at the Robin Hood Festival.
