What a fantastic time we’ve had during holiday club in the Bumblebee Room! We have been very busy over the last 5 weeks.🐝

We enjoyed welcoming lots of new friends into our room during their settling in sessions.

We have loved going for a few lovely little walks outside of nursery and the children enjoyed reacting to all of the different things we saw and found on these trips.

We can’t wait to welcome all of the children back into nursery from Monday the 7th of September. We’ll see you all soon! 🐝

Another fun filled holiday club comes to an end! We have had so much fun in the last weeks in the Caterpillar room 🐛

The children have enjoyed lots more sunshine and finding different ways to keep cool in the hot weather. Using the sprinkler outside was definitely a favourite from everyone! 💧

The children have also enjoyed opportunities to get out and about looking at the different flowerpots around Settle. The children walked so well together and they saw lots of different things! ☀️

Back at Freda’s, we have spent lots of time in our allotment. The children have loved watching our pumpkin plant grow bigger and bigger and can’t wait to see how how big it is when we return after our break. We have also been planting some radishes. The children have helped to ensure they have lots of water! 🎃🌿

We hope you all have a lovely two week break and can’t wait to hear about all your adventures when we start back in September 😆

Our Butterfly room children 🦋 have had a fabulous time during our last few weeks of holiday club 🤩!

We have been on ‘Bear hunts’ 🐻 , been busy baking 🧁, singing in the rain ☔️ and cooling off under our sprinkler on the hotter days 😎!

We’ve had a visit to the swimming cafe and even got to watch the excitement of the huge inflatable being blown up !! 🛝 💦
On our way we even spotted a plant pot pirate 🏴‍☠️!!

We have been carefully watching ( and watering 💦!) our pumpkin plant grow - it’s got bigger and bigger and bigger !!!! We even have a few pumpkins growing now 🎃- we can’t wait to see what has happened by the time we come back in September !!!!

This week some of our Butterfly 🦋and Caterpillar 🐛 children have been out and about exploring during holiday club !

We have been on a lovely walk to spot plant pot models down by the river and even spotted a shawl of fish 🐠 swimming and also a dog taking a dip too 🤭💦!!

We stood on the bridge to see what we could spot and realised our shadows were in the water - we all waved to see them more clearly ! 👋
We also spotted lots of letters and numbers too !

Whilst out we called at Lay of the Land garden centre to find out what we could plant back at nursery - we came back with a packet of rainbow radish seeds and asked very nicely if they would drop off our bag of compost to plant them in - the children wanted to carry this back but realised it was just too heavy for us !! 🌱

Today we took a shorter walk to the swimming pool cafe for a glass of milk and a toasted tea cake 😋 whilst we were their we watched the inflatable being blown up and then had great fun watching the cheeky life guard throw water at the children and adults on the inflateable to try and knock them off! This was very entertaining and we enjoyed watching for quite a while !! 😁

We have had a very exciting day in the Caterpillar room today! 🍏🐛

The children helped to harvest some of the ripe apples off the tree to peel, cut and stew. The children helped to wash the apples so Sammy could peel them. The children then got a crocodile safety knife and board to cut the apples ready to go into the pan to be stewed.

At snack time the apples were ready to eat! We also shared our stewed apples with the Bumblebee and Butterfly children 😆

The bumblebees went on another great walk today! We had a great time running through grass, finding big leaves and seeing a few more plant pot creations! 🐝

We also found this beautifully decorated stone which we hid in another spot!
