💫 Exploring the local area - our Angelfish and Starfish children had a lovely afternoon on a walk to the local park they had a great time climbing, sliding, going on the swings and working together on the obstacle courses 💫

Today we had a very special visit to the nursery, as our Deputy Manager Lauren brought baby Alfie in to meet the SCN family 🩵
It's safe to say, lots of baby squidges were had by all the team! 🥰

Mummy and baby are doing very well! We can't wait to see them again soon. 😍

Some exciting news from the Selsey Scouts! 📣

Selsey Scout Group are really excited to share that they are opening a Squirrel Drey for our 4-6 year olds. We are holding a taster session on Tuesday 29th September for anybody who would be interested in learning more about squirrels or would be interested in joining. 🎵 It’s Graduation Day 🎵

Today we celebrated our school leavers with a Graduation party and ceremony

Thank you to Nolan Davis Childrens Entertainer for a fantastic party as always

The children then sang and danced to their families then collected their certificates in the graduation ceremony

Thankyou to our starfish team for their hard work preparing for today and and all our families for joining us today, we wish all our school leavers the best of luck in your school journey we will miss you all

🏅SPORTS DAY STAY AND PLAY🏅

What fun Starfish have had this week! ❤️

Throughout the week we have hosted 4 stay and plays with family members where the children could partake in a variety of sports day themed activities 🏃‍♂️

From sack races and egg and spoons races to balancing quoits and throwing bean bags, the children have had so much fun 🤩

Not to forget that we also had egg and spoons races for the adults too, only they had to use real eggs and there were a few cracked ones by the end 🤭

💕National Pink Day💕

This year on Tuesday 23rd June it was National Pink Day! 💖

After having a committee meeting with some of our Starfish children, they requested that we have a pink dancing day which coincided perfectly with this date 🌸

We also wanted to take the opportunity to use this as a fundraiser to help raise money and awareness to breast cancer and are delighted to announce that we have raised £57 for this day 💰

Throughout the day, the children and staff were encouraged to come to nursery dressed in pink and engaged in a variety of pink themed activities, such as play dough, potion making and messy mark making! 🌷

‼️Partial Nursery Closure for Wednesday and Thursday ‼️

Having discussed the expected high temperatures over the next couple of days with our trustees we have decided that the nursery will close at 12pm on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Whilst we have been taking recommended precautions, we feel that this will not be enough to ensure the wellbeing of the children and our staff team. At the moment, we are expecting to be fully open on Friday but if anything changes, we will let you know.

After months of hard work from Georgia and Laura, working with the amazing Harbonline Web & Software Development , we are very excited to launch our new website for the nursery! 🎉

We would like to say a massive thank you to Jake at Harbonline for his extremely generous donation of all of his time, expertise, insight and effort put into this project, completely free of charge! 🙌🏻

This website is now the only one we will be using for the nursery, and it will be updated regularly with any news and announcements.
