We operate a breakfast club & after school club at Hemingbrough Primary School, and a holiday club at North Duffield Primary School 🙂

🧪 🕸️We have had a very messy, gruesome, and curious week! 🫟🕷️

Mixing colours, measuring some grossly delicious liquids, changing the consistency using our scientific knowledge, using intricate movements with our hands/fingers to catch spiders, navigate the mini skeletons through the Funny Bones city, brewing hocus pocus potions, finding & picking plants to put on our nature pictures, and so much more!!!

This week it has been all things Mathematics, activities inspired by the children’s interests and imaginations! 🌈

Who said Maths isn’t fun?🤷‍♀️

The children learnt all about trajectory, angles, speed, and weight with our pipeline tough tray ✨ 🥎
We constructed different shaped structures, matched colours/patterns, learned about different sizes, and more with our minecraft/princess tray 👸 🤖
We have also had a variety of creative arts and design activities, apologies for the glittered children! 🙈

😌 🧘‍♂️ check out our Calm Corner, this is a working progress (and is missing a broken teepee), this will be used for emotional regulation, quiet/reflection time, and a safe space for all of our children when feeling tense 🤍 we will check in each day & see how our emotions change throughout the session, we have plenty of interactive display pieces to try, and always have their club teacher’s support!🤍🧘‍♀️

We topped our Friday off with party games to work off our nuggets & fries (Friday treat); musical statues, simon says, stuck in the mud, and more…. 🍗 🏃‍♂️

💜 Quillix have had an amazing time this week with a huge variety of activities both indoor and outdoor 💜

🦕 Take a look at what we have been up to, dinsoaurs were requested a lot last week. We went with this recent interest and set up a few little dinosaur activities for the children… we have also done seasonal activities, and other focused play both child-led & adult-led to promote different areas of development, we thrive to guide every individual throughout their journey of educational experiences🪻

🔮We also continue to get new resources too, these are always a mixture of educational & the children’s interests ✨

The children wanted to show you our new team name and mascot💜

We wanted something cool and catchy whilst still relating to our Little Ducks logo, we hope you like it as much as we do! 🐥

We will use the team logo for little tournaments, at school functions, promotional gifts, and so that we leave a stamp wherever we go!

We will hopefully be able to get someone to create a custom soft toy of our new mascot...
