So happy to say that Ronnie has now been graded to brown belt and the first one in the club for a few years as well as being my first person to grade to brown belt. All in time for his 18th birthday 🥳 and it’s been great to see him become a great young man.

Ronnie has trained with us for a number of years now and also more recently been encouraged to train elsewhere for more mat time and enjoys getting out there for competitions. He’s competed at regional, national and international level, as well as being a Level 1 Judo coach.

Keep up the great work and enjoying the journey 🥋🥳 Goole Judo Club

Sunday 27th September 2026 comp - another great turn out for the judo development competition with many great contests and throws on show.

A big thank you to all that attended and all the officials and volunteers that helped on the day but also in the background before and after the event.

As you’ll all tell I’ve borrowed photos from your posts as it’s something I forgot to get on the day.

It was another hard long day by all and another great day for local judoka and further afield to display and develop their judo in a competitive environment. It was nice to sit down and chill at the end of a long day 🥳🥋

September 2026 judo competition chosen charity is Mind Mind- although we had no tombola this time round we have used £100 from the tuck shop proceeds to donate to the charity mind for a little help in the great work that they do.

Over 2026 we have had 3 competitions and through the proceeds of the tuck shop and previous tombola we have managed to donate a total of £500 to charitable organisations , i think this great we can do this as a judo community.

🔥 BEST THROW OF THE COMPETITION by Aidan Cheng age 10🔥🥋

What a moment! 💥 Perfect timing, full commitment and confidence when it mattered. This is exactly why we spend so much time drilling the basics, repeating techniques and learning to attack with purpose.

Our competition team keeps showing that hard work in the gym transfers onto the mat. The improvement, determination and confidence these kids are building is brilliant to see. 👏

How would you rate this throw out of 10? 👀
Drop a 🔥 in the comments if you think this was one of the throws of the day!
