Summer Bash Time! 🌸💃

Yesterday some of our Field View team enjoyed their well-deserved Summer Bash. There were plenty of laughs and lots of dancing, everyone had a great time.

Our Hambleton team enjoyed their Summer Bash a few weeks ago too. They were having too much fun to remember to take a photo!

🌱 Our Blossoms Allotment is Thriving! 🌱

Our children have been doing an amazing job caring for our allotment, showing such enthusiasm, responsibility and pride as they help it grow. From watering and weeding to checking on our vegetables each day, they are becoming fantastic little gardeners!

Looking after our allotment provides so many valuable learning opportunities. It encourages children to care for the environment, develops patience and responsibility, supports their understanding of where food comes from, and promotes healthy eating.

We can’t wait to share more updates as our allotment continues to flourish! 🌿🌸

🎓🏴‍☠️ Graduation 2026 🏴‍☠️🎓

Graduation is always one of our favourite events of the year, and once again it was a truly special celebration! It was wonderful to see our children, families and staff come together to celebrate such an important milestone.

This year, an incredible 74 children across both settings graduated, and we couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them.

Our pirate-themed celebration was packed with adventure as Amelia from Little Play Dreamers -EYs Imagination Sessions and Training took everyone on an imaginative journey. From collecting the “cannon balls” and searching for hidden treasure to pirate story time, a pirate disco and so much more. There were smiles, laughter and excitement throughout the day.

The highlight, of course, was our graduation ceremony. Every child showed such confidence as they walked up to collect their graduation scrolls.

To all of our graduates – we are so proud of you and can’t wait to see you continue to shine as you begin your next adventure at school 🌸

Tonight our team enjoyed a lovely outdoor yoga session with Natalie Scattergood Yoga 🧘‍♀️

It was so refreshing to spend time outdoors in the sunshine, moving, exploring, and unwinding together while enjoying the peaceful sounds of the horses in the surrounding fields.

Natalie thoughtfully tailored the session to support us as early years educators, helping us stretch, reset and take a moment for ourselves.

A great way to support wellbeing and keep our team moving 🌸

Last night our team came together for our updated Safer Sleep training, exploring the latest guidance and recommendations. Staff worked in groups to complete a fun True or False activity, encouraging lots of discussion, sharing ideas and challenging common myths around safer sleep.

These collaborative sessions help us reflect on best practice, strengthen our knowledge and ensure we continue to provide a safe, nurturing sleep environment for every child in our care.

With the excitement of the World Cup inspiring football fans across the globe, our toddlers and preschool children had an amazing opportunity to enjoy their very own football experience with Conor from Kixx Goole & Selby

The children showed fantastic listening skills as they followed instructions, developed new football techniques, built their confidence and, most importantly, had lots of fun being active. It was wonderful to see every child getting involved, encouraging one another and embracing the joy of sport.

Experiences like these help to develop physical skills, coordination, teamwork and resilience, while linking children’s interests and current world events to meaningful learning opportunities.

What a wonderful time we had at our Father’s Day Stay and Play sessions!

Together, they enjoyed a range of exciting activities, creating special memories, exploring, playing, and learning side by side.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made the sessions so special. The children loved spending quality time with their special visitors and were so proud to show them around their nursery environment.

We hope everyone has a wonderful Father’s Day and enjoys celebrating with their loved ones! 🌸

We were so proud to see one of our preschool leavers, who started primary school last September, take part in her school’s Big Me Day dressed as a Nursery Key Person.

What makes this extra special is that she chose to be a nursery key worker because of the positive impact her own key worker, Lisa, had on her during her time at Blossoms.

Big Me Day encourages children to think about their future aspirations and dream big. To know that Lisa’s care, support and encouragement have inspired one of our former children to follow in her footsteps is truly heartwarming.

A wonderful reminder that the relationships built in the early years can leave a lasting impression 🌸
