AI-generated content, cloned voices, deepfake videos and fabricated screenshots are making it harder for young people to recognise what is genuine online.

Our latest guide supports parents, carers and educators in helping children build the confidence and critical thinking skills needed to question digital content.

The guide explores:
• How AI-generated content and deepfakes can appear convincing
• Why familiar voices, polished presentation and repeated claims should not automatically be trusted
• Risks linked to fake accounts, impersonation and misinformation
• The importance of source-checking and verifying messages through another route
• How adults can respond when harmful or deceptive content targets a child

With clear, practical advice, this resource helps adults strengthen digital literacy and support safer, more informed online experiences.

🛝We have been offered this fabulous slide for our OPAL play. Sliding down the hill is one of our children’s favourite activities during OPAL playtimes so we’d love to have it.

The only issue is that we need someone with a 7.5 T 🚚 as the slide measures 3.4m Long x2.3m Wide and 0.9m High. The slide is also currently in Hull.

Any help in collecting this would be very much appreciated and a fab OPAL play area for the start of the new term.🌟🛝 Please get in touch if you can help. Thank you. ☺️

Spending time outdoors can play an important role in children’s wellbeing, learning, confidence and development.

However, busy routines, safety concerns and limited access to outdoor space can make it harder for families, schools and carers to prioritise time in nature.

Our latest guide shares simple, practical ideas to help children reconnect with the natural world, including:
• Noticing wildlife during everyday routines
• Taking familiar activities outside
• Creating mini adventures
• Growing plants or building nature at home
• Using technology to identify birdsong, insects and wildlife
• Supporting older children with independence and sensible risk-taking

With realistic ideas for all ages, the guide helps make outdoor time feel accessible, enjoyable and worthwhile.

🪏EDITED to add 🪏

We have had a kind offer from local business and a school parent. Thank you for supporting our school. ☺️

🤞Can anyone help please 🤞

We are looking to dig out an area for a sandpit (like in the photo below). We are looking for a digger … and someone with the skills to operate it!

If you, or someone you know, could spare little time to help, we’d be incredibly grateful. It would make a huge difference for our children and help creative fantastic new play space for them to enjoy. 🪏🏖️🪣 We are looking to develop this over the next two weeks.

Please comment below, or send us a message if you can help or would like any more information.

Thank you so much for supporting our School community. ☺️
