Had a great if rather soggy day at Raker Lakes yesterday. Mats had travelled all the way from NE India to the Uk and wanted to sample some Yorkshire lake fishing. We employed a variety of tactics, pole, feeder and waggler and all scored. Dynamite Carp pellets, corn, wowzers and worms brought a stream of carp to 10lb plus bream, roach and perch

Had a great day yesterday at the Leeds Barbel Tuition Day. A great turnout of anglers of all ages eager to learn more about fishing for the awesome barbel. Made some new friends, met some old ones, hopefully passed on some useful advice and learnt a few things myself. The highlight was watching young Bobby pull out a beautiful fish, nudging double figures, on the Garlic Meat he had just been given. Rolling Rupert gave us a great demo of his favourite tactic and then went on to bag his own barbel. Massive thanks to and for their generous support of the event
