Today, we say goodbye to our wonderful Year 6 class as they move on to the next chapter of their journey at secondary school.

We enjoyed a very special final assembly this morning, celebrating their time at Barlby Bridge, the memories they have made and everything they have achieved. We are incredibly proud of them all and wish them every success as they begin their new adventures. ๐ŸŒŸ

We also say a fond farewell to Miss Finley, Mr Cherry, Miss Hardcastle and our Chair of Governors, Mr Wells.

Today we celebrated our final Praise Wall and Reward Assembly of the academic year. A huge well done to all of our award winners, who have consistently demonstrated our school values from September right through to the end of the year. You should all be incredibly proud of your achievements! ๐Ÿ’™

We also enjoyed a special Year 6 Leaversโ€™ Lunch, giving our oldest pupils the chance to celebrate together before their final assembly tomorrow.

A huge congratulations to Matilda House, who achieved the highest number of Dojos/House Points this academic year! ๐ŸŒŸ

As a reward for all of their hard work, children in Matilda House only are invited to come to school in non-uniform tomorrow. ๐ŸŽˆ

Teachers have reminded children which house they are in, but if your child is still unsure, you can check this on Arbor.

๐Ÿ“„ School reports have been sent home with children this evening. Where parents are separated, an additional copy of the report will also be emailed to both parents this evening.

The children discovered the fascinating history of flight, climbed aboard some amazing aircraft and enjoyed spotting all the different planes. ๐Ÿ›ฉ๏ธ

They were a real credit to Barlby Bridge, showing excellent curiosity, enthusiasm and behaviour throughout the day. ๐Ÿ’™

With the hot weather predicted for the remainder of the week, children and staff are welcome to come to school in non-uniform to help keep everyone comfortable. ๐ŸŒก๏ธ

Please ensure children come in sensible, school-appropriate clothing - as before, no vest tops please.

Children should also bring a water bottle each day and have suncream applied before school. A sun hat would also be helpful where possible. ๐Ÿงด๐Ÿ’ง

What better way to celebrate Englandโ€™s win last night than with a fantastic Playground Party courtesy of YorkMix and Alpamare! ๐ŸŒŸ

The children had a brilliant lunchtime filled with music, games, prizes and lots of smiles. We even had a special shout-out on the radio for Barlby Bridge hosting the first playground party! ๐Ÿ“ป๐ŸŽถ

We have had a fantastic morning in London, enjoying a river cruise and a trip on the London Eye, before having lunch at Jubilee Gardens. ๐ŸŒŸ

We are now on the train home and are currently due to arrive back at Selby at 16:08.
