During the open day you'll be shown around by our Year 6 pupils within a normal school day. We are a warm, welcoming and inclusive Catholic community with an explorative Early Years setting, extensive grounds and our Millennium Garden. We're proud of our children's consistently strong outcomes — and prouder still of the people they become, nurtured by a virtues-driven ethos and outstanding pastoral care.

Ash Wednesday

Although our schools are closed for half term, we would usually gather together as school communities to observe Ash Wednesday and begin the season of Lent.

Before the break, the BKCAT primary school pupils prepared and shared a special liturgy with their school communities, allowing us to mark this important day together in prayer and reflection.

We invite you to watch and follow along with the liturgy as we enter this sacred season of Lent.

“Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
Genesis 3:19

Let us pray:

Lord God,
as we begin this season of Lent,
help us to grow in kindness, compassion and faith.
Guide us to reflect on our actions,
to care for those in need,
and to walk more closely with you each day.

We are pleased to announce one final Open Day for families seeking a Reception place for September 2026.

After welcoming many new families throughout October, November and December, we wanted to offer local parents a final opportunity to visit our school before applications close on 15 January 2026.

St Mary’s provides a nurturing Early Years environment that gives children the strongest possible start to their school journey. Excellent teaching is complemented by high-quality provision and facilities, and our pupils are happy, confident, and thrive in a caring setting where every child is known and valued.
