For Old Sedberghian Hannah Francis, running started almost by accident.
On her first day of her final year at Sedbergh, with a pile of unfinished work in front of her, she Googled how to concentrate. The answer? Running. So she gave it a go.
What started at the back of the bottom running group soon became a passion. Hannah grew in confidence, moved up the groups, began racing and eventually won her first ever medal... Which just happened to be the Wilson Run!
Hannah and her mum, Katie, herself an Old Castertonian, are running from John O’Groats to Land’s End in just 26 days, raising money for Farmstrong Scotland, Scotland College of Chiropractic and Tariro, supporting orphaned children in Zimbabwe.
For Hannah, it’s a celebration of how far she has come and a reminder that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
We’re incredibly proud of Hannah and Katie ❤️
