Here is another great example of homework linked to our science topic in Year 3.

This week's science lesson had us investigating 'poo' samples! After learning a bit about animal diets, children were able to look for evidence in the samples to work out which one belonged to a herbivore, carnivore or an omnivore. Some children were also able to suggest possible animals they came from!

This week in Nursery, we have been reading the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears!

As part of Drawing Club, the children drew the characters and setting from the story, then used their imagination to create and discuss alternative endings and different events that could happen in their own versions.

We also explored some exciting vocabulary linked to the story, including 'demolished', 'piping hot', 'perfect', and 'cramped', and added actions to help us remember and understand the words. The children had lots of fun bringing the story to life through their drawings, discussions, and storytelling!

To celebrate Father’s Day and all the amazing caregivers in our children’s lives, we would like to invite you to our Donuts for Dads sale on Friday 19th June at 3:30pm on the school yard.

Come along and enjoy some delicious cakes and donuts, all just £1 each! We will also be selling cans of pop, cartons of juice, and sweeties.

Whether you’re a dad, stepdad, grandparent, guardian, or any special caregiver, we’d love for you to join us for this fun community event.

We have had a great week in Year 3. Here are some excellent examples of re-telling the story of 'The Iron Man'.

Y4 have had a brilliant week. It all started with an author visit on Monday and we enjoyed two brilliant cycling days. On Wednesday Group 1 managed 16 miles in glorious conditions and Group 2 managed 20 miles on Thursday. A fantastic achievement from everyone and great examples of resilience and determination.

This week in nursery, we had some very special visitors!
The children were delighted to meet a range of furry, feathered and scaly friends, including a mouse, rabbit, chicken, bearded dragon, snake and owl. There was lots of excitement throughout the morning as the children had the opportunity to learn about and interact with each animal.
We were so proud of how gentle, caring and respectful the children were. They listened carefully, showed kindness to the animals and demonstrated excellent understanding of how to handle them safely and calmly.

It was a fantastic morning!
