We thought it would useful to share with you that Tu at Sainsbury’s currently have 20% off school uniform and school footwear.

We also know that a lot of our parents work in the services that are entitled to blue light discount which allows for an extra 10% saving. So in total there is a 30% saving on uniform at the moment.

This can be ordered online and delivered or collected at the local Sainsbury’s in Alnwick.

Get ready for the new academic year with these super savings! Every little helps! (Oops is that another supermarket’s slogan 🤭)

Remember the only thing we expect to have logos on are school jumpers/ cardigans and a PE t-shirt.

🍫Our final cookery club was a good one! 🍫

Delicious, chocolatey brownies were made by the children. They went down a treat!

What a fabulous way to finish cookery club. It has been wonderful to see so many children enjoy cookery club each week, we hope they have enjoyed it.

Thank you to the staff who have given up their time to run the club.

📦Yesterday, Mrs Neale received a very special delivery. 📦

She managed to get a SIGNED copy of Sir David Attenborough’s latest book, Ocean! It is signed by both Sir David Attenborough and Colin Butfield.

What an amazing text to have in school for the children to enjoy!

🐸🐟On Friday early years and key stage 1 spent their Fresh Air Friday session down at the school pond exploring the living things.🐟🐸

In science we have been learning about living and non living things as well as different categories of animals such as mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians so this was a great opportunity to get up close and personal with some amphibians!

We found hundreds of tadpoles some of which had legs and were transitioning to froglets.

One of the most exciting finds was a Great Crested Newt, which is a protected species, so this was a fantastic find and discussion opportunity for the children.

A reminder that our book fair starts today, after school.

📚Next week we will be holding a Scholastic Book Fair. 📚

This will start on Monday and run until Thursday. The book fair will be open from 15:20 until 16:00 each day.

The children will get to visit the book fair during school time to see which books they would like.

As a school, we rely quite heavily on these events to help us keep our amazing library and classrooms stocked with the most wonderful books. Therefore we would really appreciate it if you could visit our fair and make a purchase. All purchases help generate money for the school to spend on books.

We wanted to take a moment to share how incredibly proud we are of our Year 6 children.

Throughout the SATs, they showed fantastic resilience and a "can-do" attitude that was heart warming to see.

The week was fueled by a fantastic team effort; our daily breakfast club was a huge hit, with Vicki’s famous breakfast butties proving to be the perfect fuel for the day!

We also want to shine a light on our amazing staff. From the early starts to the constant emotional support, every team member in school went the extra mile to ensure the children felt prepared and confident.

While SATs, league tables, and secondary school transitions often dominate the conversation this time of year, they are secondary to the well-being and emotional security of our children.
