🎨🍂 KS2 Art Club – Printing with Oil Pastels! 🎃👻

Last night in KS2 Art Club, we explored a fun and interesting printing technique using oil pastels! 🖍️✨

We began by choosing an autumn or Halloween-themed drawing and used oil pastels to colour the back of our pictures. We then placed a plain piece of paper behind and carefully traced over the lines to transfer the colours, creating some beautiful prints! 🍁🖤

The children loved experimenting with this new technique and seeing their pictures come to life in a different way. We had so much fun getting creative and trying something new! 🌟🎨

✨ A special visit ✨

Yesterday, we had two special visitors join us in our morning assembly. PC Claire and police dog Ben.
She reminded us of the importance of being safe outside and knowing what to do if a stranger was to approach us.

Super important messages as we head into our final two weeks before half-term, topped off with cuddles from Ben.

Following a final farewell to his fluffle friends this weekend, Hop-Lightly our very own Peter Rabbit, has completed his travels from the Hancock Museum to Newcastle Civic Centre and will soon be making his way back home to us where he will stand happily in our school. We can't wait!

Tonight we braved the sun, rain and wind! Our hoods were up and down but their were smiles all round.

Opal Club played Nature Pairs tonight, matching pictures in small teams to score points.

A fabulous way to finish off a busy week in school. Well done everyone! 🤩
