Today is National Tea Day and the perfect excuse to grab a hot cuppa, as if we needed one. But did you know that 30 babies and toddlers go to hospital every day with a hot drink burn?

Hot drinks can easily be knocked over or grabbed by little fingers, and a cup of tea takes 15 minutes to cool down to a temperature that will not scald a young child.

So please be mindful of where you place hot drinks. Children can often reach further than we think.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate another fantastic achievement within our team!
A huge congratulations to Toni our Deputy Manager and SENCo on successfully completing her Level 3 Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinators. This is a wonderful accomplishment and reflects her dedication, knowledge, and passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Her commitment to inclusive practice ensures that every child in our setting is supported to thrive, feel valued, and reach their full potential. She continually goes above and beyond to support both children and families, and this qualification further strengthens the high-quality care and education we provide.
We are so lucky to have her as part of our team and look forward to seeing the continued positive impact of her work.

We are absolutely delighted to congratulate Isla on her incredible achievement in completing her Early Years Apprenticeship with a Distinction!
Isla has worked exceptionally hard throughout her training, showing real dedication, passion, and a natural talent for supporting young children’s learning and development. Achieving her NCFE Level 3 Early Years Workforce qualification with such a high grade is a fantastic accomplishment and a true reflection of her commitment to the profession.
During her time with us, Isla has continued to grow in confidence and skill, building strong relationships with both children and families. She consistently demonstrates patience, creativity, and a genuine care for every child in our care.
We look forward to watching her continue to flourish in her Early Years career.

We are still beaming with pride following the opening of our brand-new Dragonfly Room on 2nd March!

We were delighted to receive a generous funding grant of £3,000 from our local councillor, Jack McGlenen, whose support helped make this vision a reality. Thanks to this funding, we have been able to invest in high-quality furniture, creating a beautiful and purposeful learning environment for our children.

In just a few short weeks, we have already seen the positive impact this space has had:

• Our children are enjoying a calm, engaging environment where they can play, explore and learn.
• Our parents have a welcoming and comfortable space to connect with us.
• Our staff are supported by a modern, well-equipped environment that enhances their incredible work.

A huge thank you to Councillor McGlenen for investing in our community, we are truly grateful for your support.

Did you know popcorn can be dangerous for small children?

Due to it’s size and odd shape it can be difficult for little ones to chew and safely swallow. That makes it a big choking risk. But it also poses a risk of aspiration (where something is breathed into the lungs by accident) which in some cases can lead to pneumonia.

That’s why we recommend you avoid popcorn until your child is at least 5.
