The school was established in 1978 by a former Headmaster of Newlands Prep School and occupied the 8 hectare campus, within walking distance of the town centre, shared by 3 schools - Newlands Pre-Prep for children of 2.5 - 8 years, Newlands Junior School, and Newlands School, the Senior School. All the schools shared the ext

ensive playing fields and indoor swimming pool, and an indoor sports hall. Newlands School revolved around the main building, a Georgian manor house, and had bright classrooms decorated with attractive displays according to the subject taught. Unfortunately, the school closed for good.

Hi all, just wanted to give our big gratitude to John Wenham, for going the extra mile to find and share some of the school photos that he posted recently. Dear ex pupils of Newlands Manor School. Today, I travelled from London to Seaford, specifically to visit our old school and take some images to share here. It was surreal experience as I was last here in 1980, that is 36 years ago! Unfortunately the place is completely empty and I could not find anyone to get access inside the buildings. I took as many images as I could from all areas and buildings. It is really sad, as the buildings are run down and probably the new owners will knock them down.

The only two building that seem to be occupied are the headmaster's residence and the Lodge at the entrance of the school drive way.

I hope by viewing these images, it will bring back some fond memories for you and please feel free to comment and download all the images. Thanks, Alex
