🌟 This afternoon, we explored a lovely story all about visiting the dentist! We chatted about how dentists help us keep our teeth clean, healthy, and sparkling.

Afterwards, we became little dentists ourselves and used our tooth models to practise brushing and cleaning teeth. We carefully counted each tooth as we brushed, making sure none were missed. The children enjoyed pretending to be dentists and showed great counting skills while helping their model teeth shine bright!

What a fun way to learn about looking after our teeth while practising our number skills too!🦷✨

The children have been very keen to talk about beaches and the seaside and have confidently told their key people and other friends of their beach experiences. Some children spoke about crabs and shells and some mentioned about the time they spend with family at the beach. We then made our own sandy seaside pictures of our favourite things we have experienced at the beach and confidently speaking with friends about what they enjoy on special days out. We also spoke about some beaches we had experienced on holiday and how sometimes far away beaches are different to local beaches, which a lot of friends said about our local Seaford beach!

One of our Cubs was absolutely beaming today while setting up the sensory mats. They worked so carefully to connect each piece, proudly announcing “I did it!” and “Not yet!” when they still had more to add. Such wonderful independence and determination.

The other week the Kittens enjoyed some gentle outside time before the day got too warm. They had a wonderful time splashing, pouring and scooping water using all sorts of different objects — lots of curious hands and happy little experiments.

They also took cheerful turns on the seesaw and spent time looking for birds, pointing and chatting about what they could see.

At first the Kittens explored the water with a bit of support, but before long they were feeling confident enough to dip, pour and splash all by themselves. Such lovely independent exploring from our tiny adventurers 😊

This week we had great fun with our icy rescue mission! The children worked together to see if they could free the sea creatures trapped inside the ice. They took turns, shared ideas, and giggled as they explored — especially when they realised just how cold it was.
We heard lots of lovely language as they played: “Help me please!”, “My turn please!”, and “Ooo, it is cold!”
Fantastic teamwork and exploring, Cubs!

This week we dove into a bubbly, wiggly, giggly water world, discovering all sorts of colourful fish and feeling the different smooth, bumpy, and twisty textures of the shells. The children loved swirling the water, spotting their favourite colours, and comparing how each shell felt in their hands. A bright, sensory seaside adventure right in the room.

We've been looking at our theme of Nearby and Far away. Space is an area that the children have recognised as being faraway from us and have been very interested in it. Because of this we thought that we could build the children's imagination and creativity by getting them to design their own planets.
We looked at some books with pictures of the planets so that the children could get some inspiration. We then used paint brushes and sponges with a range of paint colours to design our planets. Some children decided to base theirs off of the planets from our books and some decided to create brand new planets.
Well done Lions!

We have been enjoying the story 10 Minutes to bed little dinosaur.
We all got to sit around at group time and spoke about how far little dinosaur goes before mummy finds her for bedtime.
While acting out The moves of The story the little dinosaur starts off going though the jungle, splashing though warm mud puddles, swimming though water and finds a volcano at the end.
We had lots of sensory fabrics to feel while looking at The different coloured dinosaurs and listening to the sensory bottles.
Well done everyone 😊
