We are delighted to share that this week our school has been awarded the prestigious ‘Healthy School with Excellence’ status. This external accreditation, presented by the School Health Team, recognises our strong commitment to promoting health and wellbeing across the entire school community.

As part of the validation process, staff, pupils and parents met with the assessment team to showcase the many initiatives, activities and opportunities that contribute to our whole-school approach to health and wellbeing.

The discussions highlighted a range of key areas, including our PSHE and PE curriculum, the mental health and wellbeing support available for both pupils and parents, and our strong community ethos, alongside the valuable partnerships we have developed locally and beyond.

We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition, which reflects the dedication, hard work and collective efforts of our staff, pupils, parents and wider community in creating a school environment where healthy, happy and well-rounded individuals can thrive.

"Together we can help our school community garden flourish."

Cradle Hill Community Primary School has been selected to take part in the Tesco Fruit & Veg Grant Scheme, giving us the opportunity to secure funding to support the next stage of our school garden development.

This project forms Phase 2 of our Community Garden Project, building on the fantastic work already completed and helping us create an even more vibrant outdoor learning environment for our children and the wider community.

The project with the highest number of votes can receive up to £1,500, which would help us continue transforming our outdoor space and provide further opportunities for pupils to learn about growing fruit and vegetables, healthy eating, sustainability, biodiversity and caring for the environment.

It is always lovely to see Cradle Hill children in the community. A group of our Year 6 children recently had the fantastic opportunity to attend the Allianz Kickstart Rugby Day at Twickenham Stadium. Throughout the event, they demonstrated outstanding teamwork, enthusiasm and sportsmanship, making them incredible ambassadors for our school. They embraced every challenge with confidence and represented our school values brilliantly.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to England Rugby (Rugby Football Union), Kevin Lewis (RFU England Rugby Coach) and The Allianz Stadium for providing such an inspiring and memorable experience for our pupils.

We are pleased to be able to share that from September 2026, we will be working with a new catering provider, PS Catering.

PS Catering bring many years of experience in providing high-quality school meals and have an excellent reputation for delivering nutritious, balanced food that children enjoy. Their approach focuses on healthy eating whilst creating positive lunchtime experiences.

We are particularly proud to share that PS Catering use a range of locally sourced ingredients, helping to ensure fresh produce whilst also supporting local suppliers.

We can't wait to sample some new lunches from September 2026!
