🌟 Time To Reflect 🌟
What a start to EduPaws! 🐾
We officially opened our doors to young people 26 weeks ago and a what a journey it’s been so far….
We started off with 1 placement being filled, growing to filling 18 out of 24 possible places across this academic year.
We have had some students come and go, and some stay for the long haul.
We have learned how to walk dogs, train them, groom them and of course love them along the way!
We gained accreditation with City & Guilds.
We gained and developed fabulous professional relationships with other providers.
We wrote our own children’s books.
We spent time completing enrichment activities to calm the mind.
We’ve developed excellent relationships with our students.
We explored suitable timetables with our students. They absolutely have a voice!
We ended the year on a high by completing our very first big student trip to Gullivers Valley!
Academic year 25/26 over and out- bring on 26/27 💪!!
Exciting future- but you’ll have to wait for this update 😉
EduPaws
We are an alternative provision for key stage 4.
CELEBRITY ALERT 🚨
Look who’s joined us on our last day! 😂
Over the last couple of weeks we decided to create an English project.
Here we decided to write and design our very own children’s books tailored for early years.
Below are 3 of the books created by our students.
Sometimes, academic subjects should be made fun, engaging and creative 📚

What a day! What a trip! What a team up! Today EduPaws staff and students teamed up with staff and students from Awaken Education UK to have a day out at Gullivers Valley!! 🎢
Here’s a sneak peek of our day! Video to follow in a few days when we’ve recovered! 😆

It’s been a while since we last posted- but that doesn’t mean we stopped! We have been working on English projects (creating and writing children’s books) and also completing assessments in readiness for next academic year which has taken up a lot of time!
So today we decided we needed some down time… our girls suggested puzzles! Quiet, focused and disciplined 🧩 🧐
Whilst the boys took part in football- physical activity ⚽️ 🥅
Something for families to come and enjoy!!

🐾 EduPaws: Learning That Feels Pawsitive
At EduPaws, we believe every young person deserves an education that fits — not one they must squeeze themselves into. As an alternative to mainstream school, we specialise in supporting learners with SEND needs and behavioural challenges, offering a space where they can grow, thrive, and feel genuinely understood.
Our approach blends functional skills, life skills, and employability skills, ensuring each learner’s journey is meaningful, practical, and tailored to their future. And we’re thrilled to share some exciting news: EduPaws is now an accredited City & Guilds Exam Centre. This milestone means our young people can achieve recognised qualifications in a setting where they feel safe, supported, and celebrated.
Of course, no EduPaws update would be complete without mentioning our four‑legged team members. Our wonderful therapy dogs play a huge role in wellbeing, confidence building, and emotional regulation — offering comfort, calm, and a wagging tail whenever it’s needed most.
Looking ahead, we’re expanding opportunities beyond the classroom. We’re currently exploring local work experience placements in areas such as construction, agriculture, animal care, and more. If you or your organisation could offer a placement to one of our young people, we’d love to hear from you.
Please get in touch at [email protected].
Together, we’re building brighter futures — one learner, one skill, and one pawprint at a time.
