Do you have a passion for the WEA and Adult Education? Do you live in the Scunthorpe area and have taken part in and enjoyed courses with us or have past experience from your work life?
Why don't you think about becoming a WEA volunteer and join the Scunthorpe branch committee as secretary?
The WEA relies on volunteers to help make sure we can provide a wide range of relevant and good value courses for our students in our local communities. The WEA is unique in that students take an active part in shaping our work, so we are looking for enthusiastic people like you.
Volunteering alongside other members of the branch committee, you will help support the local WEA education team in planning and promoting WEA courses in your local area, such as liaising with tutors, arranging venues, providing information to students, creating and distributing publicity and serving branch committee meetings and ensuring good communication within the branch.
Time commitment - will vary month to month and will be discussed with anyone Interested
