Millie has started her placement with the Family Hubs team, and the feedback has been really positive. She has already been encouraged to apply for an apprenticeship role, which is a fantastic achievement.
Millie has fitted in so well with the staff and has made a really positive impact on the families and children who access the service. Staff have commented that it feels like Millie has always been part of the team.
Keep up the amazing work, Millie, we are all so proud of you!
We would also like to say a massive thank you to the team supporting Millie on her placement. Millie would not be as far along as she is without your guidance, encouragement, and support. Thank you all for everything you do.

ACHIEVERS OF THE MONTH ✨
This month it was such a hard decision, we just could not make a decision, so we have 2!
Well done to William Holgate and Summer Lynch who have both had such a fantastic month.
William was invited to attend our Annual Conference in Birmingham to help deliver a workshop to a room full of professionals! On top of that he was invited to sit on a panel to interview applicants who had applied for a job with Project Search. To end what was already a fantastic month he has been offered a fulltime position with Cadbury's.
This was also a great month for Summer Lynch whose confidence has grown so much. Summer has really been standing out in class, working hard, taking initiative in group tasks by taking the lead and supporting others. Summer has also started to go to her work placements independently, which was something she never thought possible even a few weeks ago. This is such a huge milestone for Summer, and she can confidently organise her own travel ensuring she gets to her destinations on time.
Summer also impressed us and the staff at Scunthorpe Central Library by organising a morning group session for toddlers themed around Easter. Summer led the session, reading a book, singing a song with them and organising an activity based around Easter. The toddlers loved it and we received fantastic feedback from parents, well done Summer for all your hard work and efforts this month.

What an amazing week our interns had last week!
William Holgate has accepted an offer for a full-time position at Cadburys. William last day with us will be Friday 22nd May, we are just so very proud of all his achievements this year. He is still pursuing his acting career and wishes to keep his weekend job with his first rotation at 20/21.
Andri C had his first ever interview on Tuesday applying for a position as an apprenticeship with Lebus, keeping our fingers crossed for him.
Millie S has submitted an application for an apprenticeship position with the Family Hubs team after impressing the staff with her natural flair engaging with the children and families at local Community Centres throughout North Lincolnshire.
Jack C has had a fantastic week, who was shortlisted for a position with DHL and has now applied for a position in his current work placement at Highways.
It is truly amazing to see how far all of our interns have come since beginning this programme with us last year. We are now seeing the results of all their hard work, commitment and dedication they have given to their journey with Project Search. Well done everyone!

THIS WEEK ✨
Our interns are now getting ready to begin their third and final rotations. This is an important milestone in their journey, and they have been working hard to prepare for the next steps. Alongside this, they have been practising interview skills, building confidence, and updating their CVs to ensure they are ready for future employment opportunities.
On Monday, the interns took part in a fun and engaging team-building session. The activity involved plenty of head-scratching moments, creative thinking, and problem-solving, but most importantly it showcased the fantastic teamwork across the group. It was wonderful to see everyone supporting one another, sharing ideas, and working together to overcome challenges.
On Tuesday, staff travelled to Birmingham to attend a two-day conference. The event was packed with useful information, inspiring discussions, and opportunities to network with other DFN Project SEARCH programmes from across the country. It was a fantastic chance to share ideas, celebrate successes, and learn from the experiences of others.
One of the highlights of the conference was seeing one of our interns invited to speak during one of the sessions. He represented the programme brilliantly and spoke with confidence, making everyone incredibly proud. It was a very special moment for staff, his parents, and all those connected to the programme. A huge well done!

Today we are so especially proud of one of our interns who is working at Scunthorpe Central Library on her 2nd rotation.
She was given a project several weeks ago, to organise and deliver this morning's Children's session which was themed around Easter. She was tasked to choose the book, the song and the activity all by herself which she delivered in class this morning.
This is such a huge accomplishment for our intern who several weeks ago did not believe that she would have the confidence to do this.
Today, she delivered a fun, engaging and playful session to 12 toddlers and their parents - well done!

This week, our interns will be attending their second employment planning meeting. These meetings are crucial and it gives us the opportunity to invite family members along to meet with the mentors and mangers that have supported them through their second placement.
The progress that each intern has made is remarkable. This week in the meetings they will stand up in front of everyone and deliver their own presentation that they have worked so hard on about their journey so far and skills that they have developed. This will give the team to give an update on their next steps and employment opportunities.
A huge congratulations to Jack C on being the first one up today!
Well done to all our interns on the hard work they have put into their meetings this week - You can do it! We are all so very proud.

Congratulations!
This week, we were proud to announce our Achiever of the Month and a huge congratulations to Kaylob.
Kaylob has worked incredibly hard throughout his placement assisting staff and interns with any IT issues. He has been paramount in the successful delivery of many of our training sessions due to IT problems.
He has been working very hard on his second placement with IT at NLC and will finish his 3rd rotation with the team as he works towards an IT apprenticeship in hope of following his dreams and pursuing a career in IT.
Well done Kaylob on all your hard work and commitment to your placement this past month, this award is truly well deserved!

JOB EXPO ✨
Project Search had a really productive day today at the Jobs Exhibition at Baths Hall. Not only did we get the opportunity to promote our Project but some of our interns met with local businesses to discuss job opportunities and hand their CVs to potential employers.
It was great to meet our local Deputy Mayoress and discuss Project Search and some of the amazing progress that we are making!

EMPLOYER FEEDBACK
Project Search is not just a programme, it’s an investment in people. The goal is competitive employment at the end of the internship year, often within the host business itself.
We asked Kynan from the John Leggott IT department how it's been hosting a Project Search intern.
"As a host business, project search has brought us new opportunities, stronger partnerships and access to fresh talent, while helping us align meaningful projects with our company’s goals and growth."
A huge thanks to Kynan for his fantastic feedback and well done to Igor for having such a positive impact.
