We captured some great photos from Jack Causebrook's Employment Planning Meeting along with his mum.
Jack's mum Rachel has played a huge part in the success of his journey with is on Project SEARCH. Not only has he secured fulltime employment he had 100% attendance record and expectational time keeping as he was always the first to arrive in class in the morning.
Rachel has attended all of his Employment Planning Meeting and supported him at events. Her input and commitment to the Project has been outstanding. Thank you, Rachel, for all your support throughout this year, from everyone on the Project SEARCH Team.

The final week has been a busy one here at Project Search. Our interns have successfully completed their placements and enjoyed some well deserved downtime, socialising and celebrating their achievements together.
The classroom is now all packed up and ready for our move to our new base, and interviews have also taken place for a new Job Coach.
It has been a busy and rewarding year, and as we say goodbye to our interns, we would like to wish them every success on their employment journeys. Each and every one of them brought something unique to the programme, with their own amazing personalities, and it has been a privilege to watch them grow and develop throughout the year.
We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and look forward to seeing what the future holds for them. Good luck to all of our interns, you will be missed!

Our interns had a great few hours in the square with ONGO last week! One intern built a wall, while another made a bird box. Before heading home, we finished with a friendly, competitive game of darts.
It was a really informative and enjoyable afternoon, with everyone learning new skills and having fun along the way. Well done to all involved!

What an exciting week we had last week here at Project SEARCH Scunthorpe!
Our interns have been smashing their way through their final Employment Planning Meetings, where parents have been invited along to get a final update on their journey with us but also an opportunity for us to inform them that our support for them will continue for at least 3 months after they finish with us.
We have sent out the acceptance letters to our 10 new interns who begin with us on 1st September. To think this time last year, we did not know what to expect or where the Project would lead us. This year has exceeded our expectations! We have secured fulltime employment, part-time employment, an apprenticeship is on the cards for our interns.
We were then in a situation where we had more applications than we had spaces! Resulting in a full class this September.
Due to the success of the Project, we are now in a position to advertise for a second Job Coach. Someone with passion to help make a change and support a young person with SEND to transition from Education into employment. Finn was asked to put his musical skills to the test today when he joined the Library Explorers group to play his guitar. The winning nursery rhyme, Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, was chosen after winning the "Share a Rhyme in May" competition.
It was a very busy day at the library, with lots of excited children in attendance, but Finn confidently stepped up to the challenge and delivered a wonderful performance. We are so proud of how he embraced the opportunity and shared his talent with everyone. Well done, Finn!

Congratulations to Finn, Our Achiever of the Month!
Our proudest moment this month has to be Finn securing a job interview after putting maximum effort into every aspect of his job search and preparation. Finn has shown determination, resilience, and a fantastic work ethic throughout his employment journey.

This past Week at Project SEARCH✨
It has been another busy and exciting week at Project SEARCH!
One of the highlights of the week was our Selection Day for the next cohort of interns. We were delighted with the fantastic turnout and were incredibly impressed by the enthusiasm, skills, and potential shown by all applicants. The high standard of candidates made for some very difficult decisions, but after careful consideration, we are thrilled to welcome the Project SEARCH Class of 2026/27. We look forward to supporting them on their journey towards employment and independence.
Meanwhile, preparations continue for those interns who have successfully secured employment opportunities. With interview preparation, workplace readiness activities, and transition planning underway, there has been plenty to keep everyone busy.
Our current interns continue to impress us with the fantastic level of independence they are demonstrating on their placements. They are taking ownership of tasks, building confidence in the workplace, and working hard on developing their CVs and employability skills.
As we approach the end of the programme, many interns have been reflecting on their journey with Project SEARCH. It has been wonderful to hear how the programme has positively impacted their career pathways, helping them gain valuable transferable skills, increase their confidence, and prepare for the world of work.

Millie has started her placement with the Family Hubs team, and the feedback has been really positive. She has already been encouraged to apply for an apprenticeship role, which is a fantastic achievement.
Millie has fitted in so well with the staff and has made a really positive impact on the families and children who access the service. Staff have commented that it feels like Millie has always been part of the team.
Keep up the amazing work, Millie, we are all so proud of you!
We would also like to say a massive thank you to the team supporting Millie on her placement. Millie would not be as far along as she is without your guidance, encouragement, and support. Thank you all for everything you do.

ACHIEVERS OF THE MONTH ✨
This month it was such a hard decision, we just could not make a decision, so we have 2!
Well done to William Holgate and Summer Lynch who have both had such a fantastic month.
William was invited to attend our Annual Conference in Birmingham to help deliver a workshop to a room full of professionals! On top of that he was invited to sit on a panel to interview applicants who had applied for a job with Project Search. To end what was already a fantastic month he has been offered a fulltime position with Cadbury's.
This was also a great month for Summer Lynch whose confidence has grown so much. Summer has really been standing out in class, working hard, taking initiative in group tasks by taking the lead and supporting others. Summer has also started to go to her work placements independently, which was something she never thought possible even a few weeks ago. This is such a huge milestone for Summer, and she can confidently organise her own travel ensuring she gets to her destinations on time.
Summer also impressed us and the staff at Scunthorpe Central Library by organising a morning group session for toddlers themed around Easter. Summer led the session, reading a book, singing a song with them and organising an activity based around Easter. The toddlers loved it and we received fantastic feedback from parents, well done Summer for all your hard work and efforts this month.
