What a fabulous afternoon we’ve had at Oakfield Primary today!

We came together to celebrate our wonderful Mrs Butler, who has retired after an incredible 42 years of caring, supporting, and inspiring our school community.

Our celebration assembly was made even more special by the arrival of some lovely guests:

Alison Barker, Chief Executive of North Lincolnshire Council

Councillor Andrea Davison, Ashby Central Ward Councillor

Our Chair of Governors, Caroline Kupfers

And of course, Mrs Butler’s best friend, Annie F***y, who brought plenty of smiles with her!

Children from every year group created their own special leaving cards for Mrs Butler, filling the hall with love, memories, and gratitude.

It was a truly heartfelt send‑off for someone who has touched the lives of so many Oakfield families over the years.

Yesterday we had a visit from Councillor Rob Waltham who came and presented Mrs Butler with flowers for her incredible work of 42 years here at Oakfield Primary School.💕💐

A heartfelt thank you to Scunthorpe Men's Shed for the wonderful reading stools they've crafted for our school!

These beautifully made stools will be enjoyed by our children during playtimes and lunchtimes, adding a special touch to their reading experience.
