⚽ Coming This July – Introducing Grassroots 30

Mental wellbeing is just as important as physical performance, and that is why I am excited to introduce Grassroots 30 – a new 30-minute wellness check-in service for everyone involved in grassroots football.

My name is Pete Lambert, and I am a therapist working from Crosby Junior Football Club. Through my role, I meet many people connected to the game and regularly see challenges such as:

Loss of form or confidence

Team dynamics and relationships

Feeling like you’re not good enough

Problems at home affecting football

Stress, anxiety, and other personal issues

Grassroots 30 offers a safe, supportive, and confidential space to talk through whatever is on your mind.

The service will begin as a Saturday morning pilot, and if it is successful, the plan is to expand it further.

Most importantly, it is open to everyone – not just those connected with Crosby teams. Players, coaches, staff, volunteers, parents, and anyone involved in grassroots football are welcome. It is an inclusive service for all.

📅The first date is confirmed July 25th 10am till 12.30, to book your place contact Pete Lambert on [email protected] or 07946541588 to book your place. The sessions on the 25th of July are free of charge as part of the pilot after this there will be a cost.

👀 Keep an eye on our pages for dates, booking information, and further announcements.

Because looking after your wellbeing can make all the difference—on and off the pitch. 💚⚽

Following on from Yen Ip Art Studio bravely sharing his story for men's mental health month .
I thought id share something with you all . 3 years ago I was diagnosed with Autism. I had known for many years I didnt fit in society and awkward . My senses are heightened which caused many problems personally and workwise.
A diagnosis gave me clarity it meant I could take my " mask " off and be me no expectations just mine .
It really impacts physically too , food wise im not a fan of many foods so very restricted there. A nars bar will always taste , feel , look the same ... fruit veg varies dosent it . From this i guess I was diagnosed with diabetes , but managing that better .
3 years , ive learned a lot , I love working with neurodiversity, ive lived experience, qualifications to work in schools and workplaces offering not only counselling but other support too .
I welcome anymore who is experiencing problems before during after diagnosis. Only a snippet of life so thank you for reading 💙
