Helping your child get ready to start school These books and ideas will help your child start school for the first time feeling confident and happy.

Is your little one starting nursery this September? Try our quick and easy activities to help your child get familiar with their new routine.

Tip number 1 - Host an imaginary tea party for your new teacher or key person ☕🧸. Here's some ideas:

- Start using the name of your child's nursery or their new teachers in every day conversation
- Try bringing nursery into role play. Invite an imaginary teacher to join your teddy bears picnic. What would they like to eat or drink?
- What questions would your little one like to ask about their new nursery? Try to answer some of their questions.
- Ask about what they're looking forward to most - meeting new friends? Playing with different toys or exploring new books? Learning new songs?

Welcome to J.S. Tuition! I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with 10 years of experience. I offer 1-1 and group tuition, in person and online.

I have a passion for teaching and strive to make a difference. I aim to inspire a love of learning and I have always been determined to see children succeed. I have taught in the classroom for the past 10 years, as well as being an English lead and a Y6 phase leader.
