Our Fuelled sessions at Kimberley Performing Arts Centre are now over for this Summer! βοΈ
We have really enjoyed providing breakfast club, followed by a filling nutritious lunch, and a healthy afternoon snack for the children. It's been so great to see what a success it has been this year! Very grateful for this opportunity supported by the council which allows us to keep children well fed throughout school holidays... Our initial goal a few years ago! Things have certainly changed for us since then, but our morals and passion have remained the same.
If any parents/carers of the children who attend our sessions are reading this post ... Please know we are always available for you guys too. Our door is always open, we are always there in the kitchen hoping for a chat and a cuppa! A huge part of Helpful Hampers is that we not only want to make a difference to the children but the adults too, this doesn't need to be for nutrion advice or anything fancy, it can just be adult conversation and company.
Anyway, Queen of rambling as always but I won't change π€£ ... It's been a pleasure! X

So grateful to Co-op for donating Β£70 worth of vouchers to help us with our Fuelled activities. Aswell as our usual healthy afternoon snack we were also able to purchase enough fruit for each child to take 4 different pieces of fruit home each. π§‘

We would like to invite you to our 'Back-to-School' event on Monday 7th August 2023 between the hours of 4pm-7pm, taking place at Family Bank. (Family Bank , 203-205 Frodingham Road, Scunthorpe DN15 7NH).
At this event you can collect school uniforms for your children for the next academic year, for FREE, which have been kindly donated to us by the local community and Shah's Uniform.

Coritani Creative are bringing their music, art and drama workshops to The Baths Hall this summer.
The free workshops are suitable for children aged seven to 16 years.
Monday sessions are for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities only.

I'm keeping an eye out for free activities over the Summer Holidays ... I know for most having 6 weeks to keep your children busy for can seem daunting. Please if you're elligable make the most of the Fuelled Programme ... We will be there at Kimberley Performing Arts Centre for 6 days over Summer and I know there's plenty of other places doing it too. It's such a fantastic opportunity for children!
