💜 Keeping Children Safe with Medication 💜

At our nursery, the health, safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority.

To help us keep all children safe, we kindly ask parents and carers to only bring medication into the setting when it is essential and in line with our medication policy. We are unable to administer medication simply to make children more comfortable or to help them get through the nursery day.

Please remember:
💊 Medication must be in its original packaging with the pharmacy label attached.
📝 A medication consent form must be completed before any medication can be given.
🏡 If your child is unwell enough to require regular pain relief, such as Calpol, they are often best resting and recovering at home.
🤝 Working together helps us provide the safest possible environment for every child in our care.

Giving Calpol or other paracetamol medicines “just in case” can sometimes mask the symptoms of illness and delay appropriate medical advice. If you’re unsure whether your child needs medication, please speak to your GP or pharmacist.

🦖 Dinosaur Discovery Through Play! 🌿

Our little explorers had a ROAR-some time with today’s dinosaur-themed playdough activity! The children used their imaginations to create dinosaur food, make nests, and feed their favourite dinosaurs using natural resources such as grass and leaves.

This hands-on activity encouraged:
🦕 Imaginative and small world play
✋ Fine motor skills through squeezing, rolling and moulding playdough
🌿 Exploration of natural materials and different textures
💬 Communication and language as the children talked about the dinosaurs and what they were eating
🤝 Sharing, turn-taking and working together

The children loved bringing their prehistoric world to life, showing fantastic creativity and curiosity throughout the activity. What a wonderful way to learn through play!

We’re delighted to share this fantastic initiative from Morrisons and Kellogg’s to help support families over the summer holidays.

From 29th June 2026 until 6th September 2026, families can enjoy a FREE breakfast in participating Morrisons cafés, including:

🍎 A portion of fruit

It’s a wonderful way to help children start their day with a nutritious breakfast while making the summer holidays a little easier for families.
