Another busy week in JLC Foundation Learning. Students conducted beetroot experiments in Science. Installed protective netting in their gardening area. Explored future pathways with the Careers team and our Employability Officer. Collaborated on a podcast. Developed budgeting skills during a Co-op Finance session. To finish off the Finance session. Students tested their budgeting skills with the Mind Your Money board game. Students then tested their budgeting skills during their Independence and Travel Training.

Our students have had a fantastic and busy week. They cooked up a delicious Italian feast of pasta and meatballs. Enjoyed their second session of Tabletop Cricket, in readiness for their upcoming final. Worked hard on building independence skills. Researched, planned and practiced a simple travel route. Students also put their budgeting skills to the test, by shopping for ingredients for next week's cooking lesson.
What an amazing week!

Foundation Learning have been proud to support North Lincolnshire Council again this week. Distributing air fryers and slow cookers to help older residents stay warm, safe and supported at home.
A small change can make a big difference.

Ready, steady, bake!

Our Foundation students created some delicious treats to support their local Co-op this week. Raising funds for their local charities: The Samaritans and the Christmas Toy Appeal.

A big shout out to our Foundation Learning students who supported the North Lincolnshire Council at Baysgarth today. Helping hand out air fryers, slow cookers, and one cup kettles.

Foundation Learning students received a special thank you from Councillor Mitchell. For their support in delivering essential electrical appliances to elderly residents' cars. Gaining valuable skills while giving back to the community.
