Ryden Outreach is growing, and we are looking for experienced, dedicated and compassionate tutors to join our team.

πŸ“š About the Role

As an Outreach Tutor, you will provide personalised educational support to young people who may be unable to access mainstream education or face barriers to learning.

You will work on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis in community settings, students’ homes or other agreed locations, delivering engaging and individualised sessions based around each young person’s needs, interests and goals.

Your role may include:

* Delivering personalised educational programmes and learning activities
* Supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Working with learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs
* Supporting young people who may present with behavioural challenges or barriers to education
* Building trusting, positive relationships with learners
* Encouraging engagement, confidence and a positive attitude towards learning
* Developing functional, social, emotional and life skills
* Promoting independence, resilience and preparation for future opportunities
* Working collaboratively with families, schools, local authorities and other professionals
* Recording progress and contributing to reports and ongoing reviews

We are looking for individuals who are:

βœ” Experienced in working with children and young people
βœ” Knowledgeable and confident in supporting young people with SEN
βœ” Experienced in supporting behavioural and emotional needs
βœ” Patient, compassionate, reliable and adaptable
βœ” Able to build strong, positive relationships with young people
βœ” Confident in planning and delivering engaging, personalised sessions
βœ” Able to work independently while communicating effectively with the wider team
βœ” Experienced in teaching, tutoring, youth work, mentoring or learning support
βœ” Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle – essential, due to the community-based nature of the role
