A huge thank you to all of our wonderful school staff, parents and families, children, and FOSPS for making our Colour Run such a fun-filled and memorable event!
Your enthusiasm, support, and willingness to get involved made the afternoon truly special. From cheering on our runners to volunteering, organising, and embracing every splash of colour, everyone played a part in creating an amazing atmosphere filled with laughter, smiles, and community spirit.
A special thank you to FOSPS for all of your hard work in planning and delivering such a fantastic event. We are so grateful for your dedication and commitment to our school.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Free School Meals from September 2026 – Are you now eligible?
The Department for Education is making major updates to Free School Meals (FSM) starting this September. Changes to eligibility mean many more families will now qualify, while the system for checking existing claims is changing.
Here is what you need to know:

Expanded Eligibility: From September 2026, ALL families receiving Universal Credit are entitled to free school meals, even if you were previously told you earned too much.

Existing Claims: If your child already receives FSM, you do not need to reapply. Local authorities are automatically reviewing existing claims. You only need to take action if they contact you directly.

New Applicants: You must apply through the Local Authority where your child's school is located (Hull, East Riding, or North Yorkshire).

Applying not only provides free meals but also unlocks vital extra funding (Pupil Premium) to support your child’s education.

St Peter’s May Procession 2026. Today the whole school took part in our May procession. It was wonderful to see our children taking part so reverently and joyfully as we honoured Mary during this special month of May.
A huge thank you to all the parents and families who joined us - your support helped make the occasion even more meaningful for our school community. ✨

Year 1 had so much fun in Monday at the Rotunda Museum exploring fascinating fossils, learning about dinosaurs, and discovering amazing facts about the natural world. They were fantastic ambassadors for our school and represented us beautifully throughout the day. Well done, Year 1! 😊

Year 5 & 6 has the best time on Monday at York Castle Museum. The pupils loved exploring the Victorian streets, discovering fascinating artefacts, and stepping back in time. A brilliant experience for everyone involved! 😊
