Our aims
We aim to provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment for all children in our care. We plan and implement age appropriate activities to promote all areas of learning. We aim to meet the needs of all children and treat them as individuals regardless of their culture, religion or age. Our staff encourage children to explore freely

through toys and activities to develop independence and creative flair. Each child will be observed and assessed regularly, during the Early Years Foundation Stage. This helps us to monitor progress and identify strengths and weaknesses in all areas of development. We aim that your child/ren’s nursery experience will be memorable, exciting and a good stepping stone into early years education. Little Footsteps aims to introduce children to their wider environment whilst promoting positive behaviour and attitudes. We do this by going on regular outings and adventures using local amenities whenever possible. Home/nursery relationships
Relationships between parents/carers and staff are very important to us and we envisage to be available and approachable at all times. We invite parents/carers to speak to us whenever is required whether it is to discuss progress of children, concerns, advice or even if you just feel like a chat. We aim to communicate regularly with you to keep you informed of any changes or concerns. Communication will take place either verbally or through our regular newsletters. Nursery policies are displayed around the nursery, please take the time to read them.

Week 3 of the Summer Holidays ☀️

We had another busy week last week at Little Footsteps. We did some wild flowers picking, went to Dalby Forest to meet the witch from the 'Room on the Broom', made our own pizza for lunch, visited Thorton-Le-Dale show, went to the library to change our books and babies also visited the Sealife Centre and had a picnic tea.....plus much more 😊

We have had a busy start to the Summer holidays and we are looking forward to the next 5 weeks making more memories ☀️☀️...

🖊️ 📚 Our Reception Starter sessions are going ahead as planned, and we still have spaces for the schools below, apart from Seamer which is fully booked 😊

Come and meet your new classmates and enjoy some playtime together before the big day in September! Patents can grab a coffee and have a natter too!

Today some of our preschool children have had an awesome time at Staxtonbury Music Festival! We had so much fun dancing and listening to some of the independent artists that were playing and then even had a go on one of Jolly Jumpers Bouncy Castle Hire huge bouncy castles which the children all had lots of fun on! To end the day, we had a picnic tea before heading back to nursery. An enjoyable day was had by everyone...what a lovely way to end the Summer term. If any of our families are heading to Staxtonbury this weekend we can guarantee you will have just as much fun as we have!🎸🧸
