🌟 Year 3 London Trip 🌟

Year 3 enjoyed an exciting day in London, visiting the Houses of Parliament to learn about how the country is governed and taking in spectacular views of the city from the London Eye. The day ended with a fantastic performance of Matilda the Musical in the West End, which captivated everyone from start to finish.

The children were a credit to the school throughout the trip, showing excellent behaviour, enthusiasm, and curiosity. A memorable day for all!

Unfortunately the train from London has been delayed, meaning the Year 3s are due to arrive in Seamer at 22:50. If we have any further updates we will let you know!

Fostering North Yorkshire and This is the Coast have teamed up to shine a light on some of the Yorkshire Coast's Excellent Teachers.

Throughout June we are inviting families along the coast to nominate the teachers that have made a difference to their lives for a bit of recognition.

In July This is the Coast will be paying surprise visits to some of the teachers nominated to recognise them for the positive impact they have on their students lives.

So if your child's teacher has gone the extra mile and made a difference to your child's life this academic year then we want to hear about them. Simply fill in the form below to nominate your families favourite teacher for an Excellent Teacher Award.

Minecraft continues to be a highly popular platform for children, combining creativity, problem-solving and social interaction.

While the game can offer positive opportunities for learning and play, features such as public servers, multiplayer modes and in-game communication can create safeguarding challenges.

Our latest guide supports educators and parents in understanding these risks and helping children play more safely.

The guide explores:
• Public server communication and contact with unknown players
• Griefing, disruptive behaviour and online conflict
• In-game spending and subscription costs
• Addictive gameplay loops and balanced screen time
• Safer settings, private servers and suitable game modes

With clear, practical advice, the guide helps adults set boundaries, encourage safer choices and support responsible Minecraft use.
