Caterpillar Colour Matching Game! 🐛
The Tweenies have become fascinated with colours!
To extend their interest, we created a colour caterpillar, providing the children opportunities to build on their colour knowledge, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and to encourage communication skills.
This colour matching activity encouraged the children to sort and match objects to the correct coloured circles, helping them to recognise and name a range of colours. As they picked up and placed the small items, they developed their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination through precise movements. This activity also promoted communication skills by encouraging children to talk about the colours they see, name the objects, and follow simple instructions, making learning both fun and interactive.
The Tweenies had lots of fun and did so well at matching the correct objects to the colours!🌈
