To all former Scarborough Music Centre members

We had hoped to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the centre’s existence with an exhibition and possible alumni performance at this year’s Scarborough Jazz Festival in late September.

However, it hasn’t proved possible to get this organised in time for this year, despite enthusiastic support from the Festival and current and former music centre staff.

We are discussing the possibility of linking a celebration and reunion to next year’s Jazz Festival 2027 and will keep folks updated through the pages.

We would have been slightly early this year – 49 and a half years – so next year will still comfortably be in the 50 years range!
