Harlequin Day Nursery & Pre-School Harlequin Nursery & Pre-School is for children from 3 months to 5 years. We accept 15 + 30 hour funding from NYCC & TAX credits

We are open Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:45, for 50 weeks of the year except for Bank Holidays and 2 weeks for Christmas.

Still announce when you are going to the toliet

🥕 Preparing delicious, nutritious home-cooked meals and snacks for children aged 0–5 years.
🥘 Creating varied seasonal menus that children actually enjoy eating.
🍎 Catering for allergies, special diets and cultural requirements.
🧽 Keeping our kitchen sparkling clean and food hygiene standards at the highest level.
📋 Ordering food, managing stock and reducing waste.
❤️ Helping children develop healthy eating habits from an early age.
You'll be someone who...
Loves cooking and takes pride in their food.
Is organised and enjoys planning ahead.
Can work independently and manage a busy kitchen.
Has a warm, friendly personality.
Understands (or is willing to learn) food safety, allergens and nutrition for young children.
Holds a Food Hygiene qualification (or is happy to complete one).

🌟 Life in Our Under 3s Since March 🌟

Since March, our youngest learners have been busy exploring, discovering, and growing every day. Through play-based learning, the children have enjoyed a wide range of activities that have supported their development, confidence, and curiosity.

We have spent time exploring the outdoors, planting, investigating nature, and developing our physical skills through climbing, balancing, and active play. Indoors, the children have enjoyed sensory experiences, creative art activities, singing, dancing, and sharing their favourite stories during group times.

Our focus has been on encouraging communication and language, building friendships, and supporting independence. It has been wonderful to watch the children grow in confidence as they make choices, express themselves, and engage with new experiences.

We have also celebrated special events throughout the term, including World Book Day, mothers day, easter and cultural celebrations, and seasonal activities, creating many happy memories along the way.

We are incredibly proud of how much the children have achieved and look forward to continuing their learning journey together.

Our Sponsored Walk 🌟

Last week, all of our amazing children took part in a very special sponsored walk to raise money for Candlelighters, in recognition of the incredible support they have given to one of our former nursery families and their son, Sonny.

We are absolutely thrilled to share that we raised an incredible £2,745 (without Gift Aid!) 🎉 This is such an amazing achievement and we are completely blown away by everyone’s generosity and support.

The children were fantastic and showed such determination! They walked from nursery down towards the beach, along the sea front, through the Open Air Theatre, and then all the way back up the hill to nursery — what superstars! ⭐

A huge thank you to all of our families for your kindness, encouragement and generous donations. We are so proud of the children and so grateful to you all for helping us support such a wonderful cause. 💛
