Meet Finlay! 🌟

Finlay is 19 and recently found he had been losing motivation and direction. He has joined Rise2ThriveTrailblazer in the hope of gaining new skills and finding employment.

We will be working to build his confidence, develop new skills, and work towards finding suitable vacancies. Through tailored support, practical sessions, and one-to-one guidance, Fin is well on the way to achieving his goals! 🎯

We look forward to celebrating each milestone along the way and can't wait to see what the future holds. 🙂

📢 Great opportunity for young people in Redcar and Cleveland!

Paid work experience, valuable skills, and the chance to gain real workplace experience while continuing education. If you're aged 15-18 or know someone who is, take a look at this fantastic programme. 👇

Young people from Redcar and Cleveland aged 15 to 18 can gain valuable work experience while earning a wage through our Young Person's Paid Work Experience Programme, starting in September 2026.

This scheme offers:
• 12 months' paid work experience
• Up to 7.5 hours per week
• Paid at National Minimum Wage
• Open to young people in academic years 11 to 13 (from September 2026) who are in full or part-time education

Nine paid placements are available across a range of council services, including:
• Youth Services
• Kirkleatham Museum
• Health, Safety and Wellbeing
• Home to School Transport
• Street Scene
• Waste and Recycling
• Property Services

🌿 Mindful Mondays 🌿

🗓️ Join us on Monday 3rd August from 1:30pm–2:30pm at Beyond Housing, 4 Gladstone Road, YO12 7BH for our first session, where we'll be enjoying 🎨 mindful colouring – a chance to slow down, switch off, get creative and take some time just for you. 💚

✨ Just a reminder... Mindful Mondays will take place every two weeks, with a different wellbeing theme at each session – our next one being 🖌️ foil art.
