A quick update for you all…🌱

We wanted to let you know that our Parent and Toddler groups will be paused for the time being, with yesterdays sessions being the final groups for now.

These groups have been a wonderful success, and we would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Lindsey, who has built, developed, and led the Parent and Toddler groups with such care, dedication, and enthusiasm. Her hard work has helped create a welcoming, supportive space for families, and the positive feedback we’ve received has been a real reflection of this.

As the nursery continues to grow, we are currently adapting and reviewing our nursery spaces, which means we need to utilise the space differently for the time being. This has led to the decision to pause the Parent and Toddler groups while these changes take place.

This pause will give us time to review our current arrangements and explore how we can best continue offering the groups in the future. We will keep you updated and will share further information as soon as we are able.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to welcoming you back to Parent and Toddler groups again soon.

Hey, shall we have a party tomorrow been the last week of term??? For both groups parents/carers are welcome to bring an item of food of their choice and we'll have a little tea party 🍰🧉 pass on to friends from group 🤗

✨ Employee of the Month – January ✨

We are so pleased to celebrate Lindsey Clarkson as our Employee of the Month for January.

Lindsey has been recognised for being an incredible team player, always stepping in to cover shifts and picking up extra hours whenever needed. Her dedication, flexibility and positive attitude make a real difference to the whole team.

Lindsey works tirelessly in our Caterpillar Room and does a wonderful job running our Parent and Toddler groups, building strong relationships with both children and families.

Thank you, Lindsey, for all your hard work and commitment we are so lucky to have you as part of The Wooden Horse Nursery team 💚✨

✨ Happy New Year from Little Lanterns! ✨

We’re so excited to be welcoming everyone back to Little Lanterns for our first session of the new year and we have something extra special to share. 💛

📆 WEDNESDAY 14th JANUARY
⏰ 1:30pm - 3pm

We’re delighted that Laura from the Portage Team will be joining us at this session, making it a perfect opportunity to chat with a professional in a relaxed, friendly setting.

Portage workers support families with young children who have additional needs or developmental delays. They work closely with parents to offer practical advice, play-based strategies, and reassurance, helping children develop skills at their own pace within everyday routines at home.

As always, Little Lanterns is a calm, welcoming space to connect with other parents, let little ones play, and enjoy a cuppa with people who understand whether you’re seeking support, advice, or simply a friendly face to start the year.

That's a wrap!! 🎁

We have had so much fun this term, getting festive and exploring 🎄🧑‍🎄

In our final session, we had so much fun having a mini christmas party with a little buffet and some chocolate treats. Plus, we got creative doing many of the christmas crafts. Not forgetting santa left all the babies & children a christmas story to take home.

Thank you to everyone for your ongoing support. Our groups would not be what they are without you 🥰

Also, thank you for all my messages, cards, gifts & flowers it mean a lot.
I wish you all a magical christmas and a look forward to seeing you all in the new year ✨️

✨ Little Lanterns – our last session before Christmas ✨

Tomorrow is our final Little Lanterns group before we break for Christmas, and we’d love to welcome you. 🏮🎄

If you’re a parent of a child with additional needs, or an expectant parent navigating a more complicated journey, this is a gentle, understanding space to come exactly as you are. There’ll be time to chat, connect, let little ones play, and enjoy a cuppa with others who truly understand.

Whether you’ve joined us before or are thinking about coming for the first time, you are so welcome. Sometimes, especially at this time of year, just being around people who get it can make all the difference. 💛

Come and join our friendly, welcoming playgroup! Our sessions have a lovely nursery-style feel and are packed with fun, including:

🎨 Creative “make & do” table
🌍 Small world play
✨ New themes and activities every week

We ask parents to block book to secure a space, but if you’d like to try us first, you’re welcome to join a £5 taster session.
