We’re Back!

We've had a wonderful start to our new school year having welcomed our new Reception children and pupils in other year groups into our School Family! As has become tradition, our new Reception pupils planted a tree which we'll look after and will enjoy watching it grow and flourish just like our children through the love and care we'll give one another. An exciting year is ahead of us and we're looking forward to sharing it with you on this year's blog!

Leavers’ Service

Our school year ended as it always does with a special service in church to celebrate our year together and praise the significant achievements of our leavers. A great time together full of laughs, smiles and the occasional tear! The service began with a special version of 'The Traitors', we shared many thanks, presented hoodies to next year's 'Class of 27' and awarded annual trophies for achievements in the year....

Year 6 Leavers’ Party

We're savouring our last few opportunities together. It was lovely to 'let our hair down' with some music and a water fight with party food then chance to raise our new flag at the end of the day. Last day tomorrow!

Activities Away!

Our Year 6 pupils enjoyed an afternoon together on the water - paddleboarding, kayaking and generally getting wet! After up to seven years together as a group, these last few days as a class are a special time with many memories to treasure. Great time!

Sausage and Song 2026!

Once again a magnificent Scampton evening when the school family gathered including friends old and new for a beautiful summer evening with a musical show performed by pupils and a barbecue organised by FOSS. The children's acting skills showed such talent with voices carrying every line to perfection. Over £2,000 was raised by FOSS on the night - a new record! Well done. Thank yu to all who donated to our raffle and everyone who supported the event.

The Deep

Our Infant pupils had an amazing day at The Deep in Hull where they learnt about the wealth of life in the seas.

Heatwave!

We are very proud of our pupils who looked after themselves really well last week, staying hydrated, wearing sunhats, cool clothes, staying out of the sun and avoiding too much rushing around. We did manage to find some creative ways of staying cool including dipping our feet in trays of water and having a water fight! Thank you FOSS who provided ice creams each day too!

Lincolnshire Show (Day 2)

On Thursday, it was the turn of Year 5 and 6 pupils to visit the show during which they presented their project "Food Miles - Eat Local, Think Global" to judges and were awarded Second Place in the Small Schools category of the Schools Challenge! Well done everyone! The day also included lots of experiences and learning - a great day!

Lincolnshire Show! (Day 1)

We loved our day at the Lincolnshire Show yesterday! This is the first time that we have taken our infant pupils and they all had a great time. So many experiences and learning opportunities from livestock farming to the work of the environment agency, combine harvesters to search and rescue! What a day. We all 'got our steps' in for sure....
