Finally, after 8 years of waiting there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I have been contacted by East Suffolk Council who have advised the following

" Just writing to let you know that we are moving ahead with the cycling and walking work on East Suffolk Council, with the Benhall – Sax route being our initial pilot / flagship project. Cllr Sue Nicholson is a regular attendee of our meetings – the school lane solution will be a modal filter, while clearing vegetation on the School Lane / B1121 junction is the initial solution to making the crossing safer. We are now onto working to negotiations to upgrade the right of way alongside the B1121 all the way in to Sax."

I will be contacting Saxmundham Town Council and Benhall Parish Council to ensure that this news is given the local prominence that it deserves,

Finally the new planning strategy for East Suffolk has been publshed for consultation. Here is a link to the part of that strategy that may be of particular interest to our project. We have until 10th January to make comment and I would suggest to do so sooner rather than later. Here is a link:
