Meadow Brook Playcare Welcome to Meadow Brook Playcare page. We are a non-profit business run by a management committee made up of committed parents.

Parents are regarded as members of Meadow Brook who have full participatory rights to be valued and respected, kept informed, consulted, involved and included at all levels. As a voluntary committee managed setting we also depend on the goodwill of parents and their involvement to keep going.

☀️ The week ahead is looking hot hot hot!! ☀️
We will of course do our best to keep the rooms cool and children hydrated.
You can help by …
- ice in water bottles
- cool packs in lunch boxes
- every child needs a sun hat
- sun cream MUST be applied before entry, 50SPF is most suitable
- light coloured, loose fitted clothing
- summer footwear, crocs or sandals would be ideal to keep childrens feet cool

What a fun day we have had!! Children have loved wearing kits and clothing representing their chosen countries.

We have been busy playing football, making flags, playing football kit lotto games and reading GOAL! By Colin McNaughton.

⚽️Tomorrow and Friday we are excited to Celebrate the start of the World Cup 2026. ⚽️

Staff have been busy planning engaging play opportunities for the next few days and we have some specific resources that have been purchased - which children are eager to get their hands on!

Reminder; we are wearing football kits, sports clothing or colours from flags across the world.
No paint over the next few days whilst we try to protect clothing. Please don't use your best clothing/kits!

Last term (April-May) Summer 1: the nursery focus was on “Lifecycles”.

Each room was involved in observing the lifecycle of a butterfly 🦋

Over the weeks children enjoyed dressing up as butterflies with wings, moving their bodies like caterpillars and learning about The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

We were able to release the butterflies into our front garden and Meadow area.

Sunflowers are currently monitoring ladybird eggs. We will update you (hopefully soon) with their journey 🐞

☀️ We look forward to welcoming our “stretched” children back from tomorrow.

It is going to be another warm day! We will be encouraging lots of water play to keep children cool throughout the day. ☀️

Things to remember;
• spare clothes OR UV protective top/swim shorts etc.
• sunhat
• loose fitted and light coloured clothing
• suncream must be applied
• fluids - you could freeze water (bottles) over night in preparation for tomorrow. Alternatively, to make your child’s water full of flavour you could add some slices of fruit.
• lunch boxes need a cool/ice pack to keep foods at a suitable temperature

We have already celebrated as a whole team with our Board members at The Kings Head in Yoxford and this morning we have enjoyed celebrating as a nursery together.

🎉💒💍👰🏻‍♀️ WEDDING WEEK! 👰🏻‍♀️💍💒🎉

It’s been a fantastic few days celebrating Olivia’s upcoming wedding.

Children have enjoyed building a wedding cake from boxes, decorating dresses and playing games.

We had yummy “Team Bride” biscuits for snack and enjoyed dressing Olivia up over the last few days.

Today is Olivia’s last day at work before her wedding on Saturday. Please join us in wishing her and her husband-to-be the most magical day !! 🤍
