What a fantastic first week back tutoring! 📚✨

It’s been brilliant welcoming back old students and welcoming new ones, all with plenty of smiles, laughter and positivity.

I’m really looking forward to seeing what 2026/27 brings — my first full year back doing what I enjoy the most. 👨‍🏫

Bring it on! 🙌

Tuesday mornings — my new, current favourite slot of the week ✨

Sporting our matching rain jackets, we took a trip to the library this morning, jumping and stamping through pretty much every puddle along the way! 🌧️

We spent the morning exploring animal, football and vehicle books, amongst many others, and seeing his excitement and enthusiasm at discovering so many new books for the first time was just brilliant to watch 🤩

Would we have gone if it wasn’t raining? Probably not, truth be told, but it didn’t stop us and we will now most definitely be back! 📚

P.s. That’s not my umbrella ☔️

I think this picture perfectly depicts the mood in WRET Towers today 🕺

I’m absolutely delighted to hear of some wonderful results achieved by some of the amazing young people we have helped this academic year!

A lot of students came to us this year low on confidence and self-belief, but through perseverance, through commitment and through a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, these students have blown the exams out of the water! 🙌

There have been a plethora of things that have made me smile in this job over the last four years - but, every year, you always get that one student who completely exceeds all expectations and as the old idiom goes, ‘pulls the rabbit out of the hat’. And every year, it shocks me just the same! You just can’t beat upsetting the odds, and when everyone wins, it feels brilliant - and that’s certainly the case with this summer’s results, making today the perfect position and place to end on! 💪
