Spending time outdoors can play an important role in children’s wellbeing, learning, confidence and development.

However, busy routines, safety concerns and limited access to outdoor space can make it harder for families, schools and carers to prioritise time in nature.

📣Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme for Summer Holidays.
The HAF programme is now in full swing for the summer holidays.

Children receive a nutritious meal and snacks each day. FREE places are available for children who receive benefits-related free school meals. There are also a small number of places available for other families that may benefit from the programme like Young Carers.

Please Help Us Make Every Space Count
If your plans change and you can no longer attend a booked activity, please remember to cancel your place through the booking system. This allows another child or young person on the waiting list to enjoy the opportunity.

Activities are running from Monday 27 July until Friday 28 August.
The programme has a fantastic range of activities on offer including:

Last week children from across the school enjoyed competing in a range of events for sports day.

Our Key Stage 2 children use the track at the secondary site. Thank you to the Sports Leaders who helped to run sports day and well done to everyone for taking part and making the day so successeful.

5SW have been enjoying some team-building activities outside and have had a brilliant time trying to get the ball across the playground!

Last Friday, the Year 5 children travelled up to London to visit the Natural History Museum. When we arrived, we had the opportunity to watch a superb interactive workshop linked to Earthquakes and Volcanoes where the children were able to demonstrate their prior learning!

In the afternoon, the children, in groups, had the opportunity to explore the different exhibits such as dinosaurs, Space and different types of fishes. The children represented the school superbly and had a great day!

In Art, the children in Year 5 have been learning about Installation Art and different types of structures. At the end of the topic, the children had the opportunity to use different classroom objects to produce installation art which they all enjoyed!
