Spaces are confirmed once contracts have been signed by a parent/s and myself. We live in Sandown on the Isle of Wight with our 3 boys and our beautiful cockerpoo Hollie. I set up chollie childcare in 2011 after maternity leave with my second son. Our aim is that chollie childcare is a home from home childminding service that prides itself on going the extra mile for both parents and children. I
LOVE my job and have always loved working with children. I enjoy planning activities for the children and also letting the children lead me into activities. I follow the EYFS ( as Ofsted require) and everyday brings new challenges and adventures. Children love being outdoors and we have an enclosed and secure garden that is accessible to the children at all times. We have rainsuits also should the weather be a bit dreary. We go on nature walks and visits to the park, meet up with the children's friends and other childminders and do lots of fun activites in the house too. The activity table is always packed with paper, crayons and activities along with toys a plenty for all ages in the play room. We have music/storytime every day. We also have chollieschool which is our after school sessions. Children are collected from school, and then encouraged to sit and do their homework. Big ones and littlies sit at the table to complete homework and we all help each other, whilst I supervise. The computer is available should they need it, along with all resources children may need. The children then eat their tea and then they can play. This means you are not trying to do homework with them at 6.30pm when you want to have fun with them and enjoy them. Fruit is always available at any time for the chidren along with water and milk. Paperwork is forwarded to parents using a secure system called Babysdays. Diaries, invoices, photographs, progress updates, policies and permissions can be viewed at the touch of a button. I love it and all my parents do too! Please see their website at www.babysdays.com for more information. chollie childcare is constantly changing and evolving and my door is always open to new ideas and suggestions from parents and also the children.
