This image has a great nostalgic pull for me . Cap and blazer badges were the life badge we wore with a sense of pride and those enamel prefect badges ,well we all had something to say about them ... My big question is having not lived on the island for the last 50 years ,do these badges turn up on car boots ,in charity shops?..Are they still around? were they kept? Sadly mine were lost in transit over the years ..

There is to be a reunion for anyone who was a pupil at Sandown Grammar School during the 60's ( 1960-1969) at Smallbrook Stadium Clubhouse, Ryde on Saturday October 25th 7-12, tickets £5. Hi, is there any old memorabilia out there ,SGS badges ,caps , football or house shirts ? I know its a longish time since the grammar was a separate school to the Fairway ,but there surely must be some things turn up in the charity shops down on the island
