Forest Learning Alliance Forest Learning Alliance (FLA) is a career stage CPD provider for educationalists and support staff covering all phases and settings.

We work with an Alliance of schools, and other educational professionals across Berkshire and the South of England. The FLA is a group of schools and other educational professionals based in East Berkshire who are working together to provide high quality support for all areas of school and teacher development. It is led by Uplands Primary School, who were designated a National Teaching School in M

arch 2013. Forest Learning Alliance work together to support high quality provision for all within our schools. We are passionate in the belief that through collaboration, high quality professional development and support for staff at every stage of their career, we can continue to raise standards for all. The Alliance has a strategic board which consists of representatives from schools, universities and a local authority. This board controls the governance of the Forest Learning Alliance. Professional Development for Teaching Assistants

This programme is suitable for EYFS and primary phase TAs, TAs in special settings and for secondary TAs who are supporting children who would benefit from a trauma-informed approach.

The delivery is provided by The National College, Virtual School, subject experts and experienced, practicing school leaders.

This is a great course for:

* TAs considering Level 3 or Level 5 qualification as an introduction to accessing and applying current research.

* Experienced TAs wishing to deepen their trauma-informed practice and extend their active network of TAs through the funded, ongoing TA community of practice.

* New TAs who will gain excellent knowledge on child-development, evidence-informed classroom practice, trauma-informed strategies and practical initiatives that can be used the classroom straight away.

Forest Learning Alliance (FLA) is the local partner with the University of Reading, recruiting and training primary trainee teachers. We provide guidance and support on how to apply and train to be a teacher.
