Sandhurst School is proud to announce a very strong set of GCSE and vocational results for the Class of 2026, characterised by an upward trend in overall attainment and exceptional performance in a number of subjects.

The school achieved a whole-school Attainment 8 score of 47, which places us comfortably above the national average. This growth reflects the rising academic standards being set across the curriculum as students continue to exceed previous school benchmarks.

An impressive 78% of students secured a standard pass (Grade 4 or above) in English and Maths, surpassing last year’s success with 71% of students achieving at least a grade 4.

Headteacher Mr Gareth Croxon commented: "We were delighted with our results last year, so to have surpassed them in many areas is a fantastic achievement. I could not be more grateful for all the hard work of the staff. They regularly go above and beyond to support students, and these results prove that it really does make a difference. I would also like to thank the parents for their support in navigating what is a very stressful exam period. Most of all, I want to congratulate our students. Their resilience, compassion and determination made them a fantastic cohort to work with. I am delighted that so many of our students leave us with the qualifications and character needed to excel in their next steps."

Armed Forces Day Flag Raising

We were proud to join Sandhurst Town Council for the Armed Forces Day Flag Raising ceremony and represent our school within the local community.

A huge well done to our Service Pupils and Cadets, who are a real credit to the school. They represented themselves, their families and our school with confidence, respect and pride.

One of the most moving parts of the ceremony was hearing from young people with first-hand experience of military life. Their reflections were both heartfelt and powerful, giving everyone present a deeper understanding of the unique experiences, challenges and strengths that come with being part of an Armed Forces family.

We are incredibly proud of all of our Service Pupils and grateful for the contribution they make to our school community every day.
