I found out that today is WORLD BIKE DAY
🚲🚲🚲🌍

So, naturally, bicycles were the inspiration for everyone this week ….

And wanted to share what a wonderful connection there is in learning creative skills and learning to ride a bike…

Both unknown at first and require practice but both use muscle memory, that once learned, we always have 🫶🏻

I love all these artworks, so much imagination and freedom in each one

So everyone created their own gorgeous art - each beautifully unique

First they drew the bees & hexagons onto plain white paper….coloured everything , included awesome patterns

And arranged everything on black card 💛🖤🐝

A fab way to end off this half term of Creativity!

On Wednesday 15th April, it was WORLD ART DAY…

So the children had free choice: choose any Artist or any art on display in the Studio to create what they wanted using any art materials

We had such a big variety: from Van Gogh scenes to Cubism portraits, different ways of illustrating the word “ART” to using one of my own paintings in the Studio (a Sloth) Even an illustration of characters from a favourite book

It was absolutely beautiful to watch each child create their own unique art so freely - without any worries of getting anything “wrong”

Creating is always unique to each individual - and having these opportunities when still young is so important

I love that Canvas Club Kids gives this to each child here ♥️

And just like that, it’s the end of another term!

This term has been so awesome with creations varying from Banksy balloons , clay Chinese horses and Van Gogh night skies through windows ✨

Absolutely love this week’s creativity too :
Easter bunnies drawn on card then cut out to paste on patterned coloured card with stylised flowers to finish it off (and a few baskets and Easter eggs thrown in too!)

Hope everyone has a beautiful couple of weeks, and eats lots of chocolate 😉🐰!

(BIG apologies for the slight 😉 lag in posting these here - the Insta a/c is meant to feed through to this FB one but clearly it malfunctions 🙃😬😜 so posting what everyone’s been doing for the last four weeks now! 🤦🏻‍♀️)

First artwork of 2026 created this week at and it was all about January…

This month January is named after Janus, the ancient Roman god of beginnings, endings, transitions, time and doorways…

So everyone created their own view from their own open door, some included doormats, pets, imaginary scenes and even post in the letterbox 💌

The always popular favourite brand of markers and watercolour paints provided the colour to bring their drawings to life - each one beautifully unique to each child ♥️

Happy New Beginnings everyone 💕💖♥️👩🏻‍🎨
