You don’t need to give up everything you enjoy to get fitter or lose weight.

Bread. Carbs. Meals out. Holidays. Family meals. Even the occasional drink.

A plan that only works when life is perfect isn’t much of a plan.

My job isn’t to build you the perfect fitness life. It’s to help make fitness work within the life you’ve already got.

Fitness should fit your life, not take it over.

If you’re over 40 and want an approach you can actually live with, DM me “START” and we’ll have a chat.

The people who stay in shape aren’t the people who never mess up.

They’re the people who don’t let one takeaway become a weekend.

Or one missed workout become a missed month.

Consistency isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about getting back on track, over and over again.

That’s a skill anyone can build.

Different people. Different lives. Different rates of progress.

But the same basic principles keep working.

Justin is 19.5kg down through consistent structure.

Scott is below 92kg for the first time since 2011, the year his hip gave out.

John kept going when progress paused and is now nearly 20kg down.

Lee has lost nearly 3kg steadily while still enjoying his weekends.

None of them needed perfect weeks or extreme diets.

They followed manageable calorie targets, prioritised protein, moved more, trained consistently and got back on track when real life happened.

Your progress won’t look exactly like anyone else’s.

But the principles still work.

Follow for simple, sustainable fitness over 40.

You can know exactly what you need to do and still struggle to do it consistently.

One of my newest clients has run a 3:20 marathon. He knows how to train hard.

What he wanted from coaching was accountability.

Someone to help create the plan, keep an eye on the basics and make sure he keeps moving in the right direction.

Sometimes coaching isn’t about teaching you more.

It’s about helping you consistently do what you already know works.

If you know what to do but struggle to stay consistent, drop me a DM with ACCOUNTABILITY.

Walking into a gym when you haven’t trained for years can feel intimidating.

Loads of machines. People who look like they know exactly what they’re doing. And you’re wondering where to even start.

But you don’t need to know everything.

You just need a simple plan and a few movements you can repeat and build on.

That’s why my clients get their workouts through the app with the exercises, sets, reps and demonstration videos laid out for them.

Confidence comes after you start, not before.

If you’re over 40 and want a simple gym plan without having to figure it all out yourself, DM me “GYM” and I’ll show you how I’d set it up.

Sometimes consistency means NOT training.

I’ve got a pretty rotten cold at the moment, and normally I’d have a few gym sessions planned this week.

But a few days off isn’t going to undo months of work.

I’m getting some fresh air and a few steps when I feel up to it, but otherwise I’m giving myself time to recover.

Fitness isn’t about forcing it every single day. It’s knowing when to push and when to back off.

Rest. Recover. Then get back to it.

Follow for realistic fitness advice that fits around real life.

One easy way to cut calories without eating less food is to look at what you’re drinking.

A couple of cappuccinos, lattes or flat whites every day can add up quickly.

Swap one or two for an Americano with a splash of milk and you could save around 60–90 calories each time, depending on the drink.

Same caffeine hit.
Same routine.
Fewer calories.

Small swaps like this are often far easier to stick to than cutting more food from your plate.

SUNDAY BREAKFAST IDEA 🥞

Banana protein pancakes that taste like a proper weekend breakfast while still giving you 31g of protein per serving.

Just blend the ingredients, fry for a couple of minutes on each side and top with banana, blackberries and maple syrup.

376 calories and 31g protein per serving.

Save this one for next weekend and send it to someone who loves pancakes.

There are no magic “weight-loss foods.”

You can gain weight eating chicken, nuts, eggs or berries if you consistently eat more calories than you need.

And chocolate, bread or crisps can still fit into a fat-loss diet.

Some foods are more calorie-dense. Some are more filling. Some give you more protein, fibre or nutrients.

That’s why I don’t like labelling foods as “good” or “bad.”

The goal is understanding where they fit in your overall diet.

If you’re over 40 and tired of overcomplicating fat loss, follow me for simple, realistic advice you can actually use.
