What if your next big breakthrough idea is currently trapped in a mind that feels unheard?

Having an awareness of this is one thing, but real change happens when businesses take action.

In article 5 we wrap up the week with some practical, well evidenced strategies that are proven to help minds to thrive and ideas to flourish.

We also give a brief nod to those organisations who continue to excel in this area.

What if your next breakthrough idea is currently trapped inside a mind that feels unheard? This week, we’ve explored the many faces of intelligence and the power of inclusive thinking in the workplace. We’ve challenged traditional ideas about intelligence, highlighted the strengths of diverse mi...

What does Inclusion really mean - and what does it feel like when we get it right?

Article 4 our of 5 linked below

Inclusion. It’s a word we hear all the time.

Have you ever doubted your abilities? Felt that silent struggle of not being 'smart' enough?

Following on from yesterday, my article today suggest taking a new perspective on this. Linked below.

Have you ever doubted your own abilities? Maybe you’ve sat in a meeting where people seemed to grasp concepts faster than you. Maybe you struggled in school, feeling like others just got it while you had to work twice as hard.

Yesterday's article raised the point that society tends to celebrate certain types of intelligence, the ones that fit neatly into traditional measures like logic, analysis, and verbal ability.

What about the intelligence that isn’t as easy to see? The deep thinkers, the intuitive problem-solvers, the pattern-spotters, the creatives who bring ideas to life in ways we never expected?

What if the greatest minds in your team, your company, or even your own life are being overlooked, simply because their intelligence doesn’t look the way we expect it to?

This Neurodiversity Celebration Week, let’s challenge ourselves to see beyond the obvious.

Here's a link to the second of 5 articles I'll be publishing this week : "The intelligence we see versus the intelligence we miss”

What if brilliance was standing in front of you, right now, but you didn’t recognise it? In a world that so often equates intelligence with quick thinking, sharp wit, and technical expertise, how many other forms of intelligence are quickly overlooked, undervalued, or even dismissed altogether? Th...

What if everything you thought about intelligence was only half the story?

For so long, we've been conditioned to measure intelligence in narrow terms, but what if intelligence was something much broader, much deeper, and far more diverse than we’ve been led to believe?

As we step into Neurodiversity Celebration Week, it’s time to rethink what it truly means to be ‘smart.’

Here's a link of the first of 5 articles I'll be publishing this week :

What if everything you thought you knew about intelligence was only half the story. With that in mind, I have a question.

So, Snapchat "Family Centre" ...

Should we be relying upon the tech companies to keep our kids safe online...?

Or is there another way....?

I believe there is...

- It make take a little longer than ticking a privacy box on a T's and C's page....

- It may be a little more awkward than clicking a parental control flag on a website..

- and it absolutely requires us as parents to be open, respectful and maybe a little vulnerable ourselves...

but, it will be better for everyone in the long run.

Of course, it's about time that the tech companies do their bit to help, but remember, they have their own commercial interests here too.

So, for something as important as your child's welfare and online security, please don't rely solely on the tech.

Maybe try the more open, honest, approach...

And if you are thinking - "I don't have the time...or I don't know what to ask"

Print off a copy of your social media T's and Cs pages and see how long it will take you to read, digest and understand them.

Thanks once again to the team Radio Stoke.

"We need to sit and talk..."

The dreaded words that strike fear into the heart of anyone who's ever heard them....

"Are you OK ? "

"Fine"

We've all been there....

But supporting someone doesn't always have to be hard work....

You can have some fun with it too....

The 6 card shuffle.....

All you need is 6 bits of paper and 6 questions...

It's a bit like Cards Against Humanity....

but with fewer arguments! :-)

and it's a great way to get the kids talking too...

Try it before they all head off back to school

You never know what you might learn.

Persistence.....

Do you have it?

This week a good friend of mine demonstrated the very essence of persistence.

Mt Blanc and Gran Paradiso - the tallest mountains in France and Italy - both summited in 1 week.

Not only persistence in climbing them - that was the end point....

But persistence to actually get there in the first place..

What is your WHY?

Thanks again to Radio Stoke for the coverage...

and well done Paul Owen - great effort !

"There's beauty on the other side of fear"

Last week a very good fried of mine told me of a sign he'd seen in a Garden Centre during a weekend browse with the family....

It read simply....

"Make the most of life because no-one get's out alive"

Humorous and profound in equal measure.

So what better inspiration for this week's radio slot..

Thanks once again to the team Radio Stoke
